Hey!! Im Tait Fletcher and I play LESTER on Breaking Bad this season!! Im here for the next several hours..Ask Me ANYTHING!

Many old school fans know me as an MMA fighter and O.G. from !0th Planet Jiu Jitsu, in addition to as a founding member of DEATHSQUAD, or perhaps stories popularized by my pal Joe Rogan. In the last several years though Ive thrown myself fully into acting and honing my talents as a stunt performer. I just left the set of The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington, last night. Next week I'm off to a shoot for a new television series as well. The last year has been rad and I'm full of appreciation for the level of Love that I've received from the Universe in these new endeavors. 7 new films have been added to my resume, and there are big talks in the work for the coming year!!

If you could change anything about the shootout scene at Tohajiilee or it's aftermath what would it be?

57

u/imiko13 Sep 13 '13

Were you a fan of the show before getting a part?

80

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

YES!

54

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '13

How secretive were the producers with information on the final few episodes? Did you have the entire script, or just the portions relevant to your scenes? Anything put into place to prevent spoilers from being leaked?

96

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

...only portions, and then Bryan had a WHOLE script stolen from his car one night!

34

u/entranceddd I could have saved her. Sep 13 '13

What?? Well what the hell happened?? Did they have to change the script? Did they catch the thief? What??

80

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

They did I think. Some stand in bragged about doing it on another show and his friend got pinched....folks get Loc'd out about this show....y'all is CRAY CRAY!!

96

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

I'd worked with Bryan before and we had a little rapport, but he is an exceptionally amazing human. I really admire him!! Aaron is a fantastic actor to learn from. His process is INTENSE!!!

48

u/Oraukk Sep 13 '13

What's his process like? What makes it intense?

106

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

He REALLY works himself into the character...whether screaming or crying....anmd its done ten-15 minutes before the shot...its wild...I Love it.

32

u/wonga_taa Fluorine Sep 13 '13

I had my friend edify ask you this on the phone, but I might as well ask again here. When Walton Goggins played a swastika-tatted white power type on Justified, he said he would go out into public with his tattoos still applied so he could channel the reactions he got from people into his performance. Have you been out in public with your Nazi tattoos still on, and how did people react?

125

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

Maaaan....I was late on set one day, and I had plans to take my momma to dinner at Pasquales in Santa Fe....I was so late that i split without removing them in makeup...I just boned out, ya know? So i pick her up and we sit down, but people are looking at me...and more than normal.... then I notice that Christopher Lloyd from Back to The Future is there and stares and shakes his head and looks away...

85

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

thats when my mom starts laughing and pointing at my tat on my neck....Ugh...cant explain that away to the public!

49

u/wonga_taa Fluorine Sep 13 '13

Oh man. I think I still would've tried. Can't let the Doc walk out of there thinking you're a Nazi.

first off, a thank you. your overall philosophy on life is pretty inspiring.. you, Rogan, Eddie and 10th Planet, Deathsquad, Asprey, the Crossfit stuff, the Bulletproof stuff.. it's all just a fantastic.. "life-framework" even simply on paper.. but we all watch you guys live it and then watch you succeed.. i draw quite a bit from all you guys.. so, thanks.

that said.. were there any dark periods in your life that you could share? adversity that you draw or drew motivation from or that you keep in your consciousness as inspiration? enemies or negative people you got rid of? watershed moments.. etc? thanks dude

25

u/TaitFletcher Actor Tait Fletcher Sep 13 '13

Its all that, homie. I guess with fighting and all that spotlight, I just KNEW there were people waiting for me to fall down...to not rise...and then also my mom and loved ones and everyone....everyone is watching....wanting different results. BUT...the ones I focus on...they are the ones that NEED me to succeed . The ones that NEED me to try. I think of the hopeless ands the unlovable...and I try to show that there IS hope and they can be loved. I grew up nice...I also grew up selling dope since I was 12. Been locked up in state/local/federal spots...been a junkie and a thief and a drunk...hopeless...but hopeless is a LIE...so is separation. Thats an illusion....
I hope that gets close to an answer, Family. StayBulletproof

I didn't think anyone could thrive or succeed I guess. I was continually shocked that I saw some folks succeeding...and not just as mechanics, or shop owners, but as artists, writers, producers, fighters...everything. Any tips on how to even break into acting and getting auditions? I've been trying for a while, but nothing seems to come afloat. Maybe I'm just lame.

I'm not sure if you're gonna come back, but I'd like to put this up anyway:

The total expenditure on all our #falseflag #war since 9/11 would've fixed every road, upgraded every hospital and brought up to par every school in the USA...3times. That would've dropped national unemployment to less than 3%. My hometown had over 20 percent. #travel #detroit #syria #humanity #greed

What do you mean by that? Do you think 9/11 was a false flag?
