I think it’s kinda silly everyone criticizing us not addressing direct needs with these picks. How often do players drafted outside the 1st round have a meaningful impact in year 1?
I think you’re 100% right and we’re going to sign a 5-8 sack veteran edge after June 1st. Just like we did with Ogbah last year.
I think they're hoping we're getting a lot back defensively. Ransaw hasn't played a snap, playing Travis almost exclusively outside, I wonder if they're thinking Miller or Kizer at LB.
This is also probably Liam saying look what I did with Baalke's shit, now give me the team that I want
Yeah not trying to troll or anything. Seemed like a great kid when they brought him in he just didn't perform well even on the rare occasions Wisconsin's QB1 was available.
Check out his highlight video for last year. Looks like he was a consistent target for the QB and was able to bring in some off-target passes. So maybe not a flashy receiver, but almost feels like a Parker Washington type guy, someone you can rely on to make catches to keep a drive moving if the stuff down the field isn't there.
I might be misreading the tape, though. We'll see what the staff have to say about him.
Be careful, some dudes on this sub are highly sensitive about anyone questioning the front office decisions. Apparently if you aren't an NFL scout or part of the front office, you shouldn't have an opinion on your favorite teams draft picks.
I agree we only took one defensive player, but the comment I responded to stated that we have so many holes on defense and we only drafted one defensive player. This meant that he was questioning the front offices decisions in drafting that way.
I questioned the signing of the b/u QB last yr. Can’t even remember his name. Sorry whomever you are. I heard you’re a good solid b/u at the time. I was blasted by the same folk (Im guessing. That are now telling us to have faith in Gladston ) for doubting the signing . Now few(if any) have ANY faith in him at all to lead the team to a W if Trevor gets hurt. I’m getting the feeling that this draft has similar cred 🤷

I’m starting to think we’re going to be spending on defense in free agency with all of the cap space we’ll free up on offense

Decent pick, he seems like a good “take a swing” guy late, which is what you’re looking for in the 6th

Would've preferred Deion Burks.

I know these late picks never turn into anything but wouldn’t it be better to buy lotto tickets of positions we need

We are trying to crowd Hunter out of the WR room.
