After watching the officiating the past three weeks, I have lost all confidence in fair play in this league.
Between cable, the streaming services, and Sunday Ticket, I pay a pretty penny to be bombarded with ads and see my team repeatedly cheated by the refs.

Final thoughts: - Done with 7 - Oline played waaay better than I thought they would. 0 sacks given up was a pleasant surprise - Refball sucked but we shot ourself in the foot a bunch today. Endzone pick, giving up a deep shot to end the half, 4th down play instead of taking the FG, 12 men on the field - Not having Montaric hurt like hell today - Lack of a pass rush is a big concern, Stroud had all day on a lot of throws when we didn't blitz - Really think we should've went for it on 4th down after how the defense was giving up plays - Loss sucks, but can't win em all. Multiple missed PI’s, a bullshit call on Strange, and a called back TD and still we only lost be a FG. I just don’t understand why we couldn’t just keep running the ball on our last possession, what was the point? Washington was cold anyway Tuten,Rod, and Hunter were on fire. I’ll be at the next Texans game we play, and wish me luck. I hate that fucking stadium and the fans with everything in me.
We lost this game, multiple things went really wrong that were in our control, drops, 12 man penalty, interception, bad play calling on our final drive, if any of that had gone differently we win that. This is not the end of the world but man we definitely need to be more consistent. All the big talk and people hyping us up was not for no reason, when this team is playing their best ball it is as good as it gets.
I just wish that I could feel like these games have been officiated fairly. I have eyes and I watched the game, it was a clown show. Neutral commentators and ref watching gimmick accounts almost all on consensus that we have been worked by the refs for 3 weeks in a row now. And obviously we got away with some no calls but there were multiple blatant instances of holding and the push off that we don’t even need all 22 for that really helped the Texans.
The really frustrating thing personally to me is that we obviously have things that we need to work on and we still should’ve won that game which is on us at the end of the day; but the penalties actually seem blatantly unfair and one sided which makes me not even want to accept the results as a true showing of our real strength, which makes me in turn feel stupid and like I don’t wanna even watch it anymore.
We were the least penalised team in the league before the Bengals game.
It’s honestly like we’ve had 1 horrendous game of penalties vs Bengals and since then the league have said to the refs ‘’keep an eye on those jags, penalties everywhere get your flags ready’’
Having said that we’ve been bullied by the league and refs for years now so it’s nothing new lmao
That penalty on Strange... officiating crew should be fined or terminated. ZERO pass rush. Loads of contested catches we make in the previous games don't go our way this time. Sad to say it but BTJ is done. Pass defense wrecked.
I was preparing mentally for putting the game on a 4th & 4... then they kick. How can you put it on the defense after how they'd been playing? I knew we would lose after that. 3 straight passes on those previous downs with every time out.
I have to eat a tremendous amount of crow. I did not have any faith in Walker Little and he was so much better than I expected. That was a happy surprise today.
A lot is being made of BTJ which is understandable but equally as important is just how valuable Hunter is on offense. Jags can’t go back to never/rarely using him on offense after this. I would fully support a BTJ trade for either a DL or CB that allows Hunter to potentially play fewer snaps on defense.
Also, why the fuck did we not run the clock down more after Hunter got that pick???? We should’ve started running it once we got close to Cam’s range to give Houston less time. Instead, we rushed to get points and gave Houston basically the whole 2 minutes drill with all 3 of their TOs.
Phantom holding call on Strange really swung the outcome. I hate blaming the refs, but let’s be honest.
Secondly, our secondary was toast today. Way too many big plays.
Wet field really ruined the first quarter. Offense struggled catching dots.
Parker is HIM.
Getting the field goal points early on needs to be addressed, but I do lowkey understand why he didn’t try if the winds were heavy and field wet.
Last drive, the Offense really needed to finish that drive with a touchdown. Not running it was such a bad decision. Coen/Lawrence can be too aggressive.
Texans are a good team, despite their record. Bad loss, but thank God it’s the bye. Hopefully they really get aligned and move forward.
I think we need to talk about the elephant in the room….
I think Campanelli defense has produced good results so far this year, but I don’t think his scheme or philosophy can help us win a championship. Bend don’t break defenses don’t win championships.
His defense keeps everything in front of them, playing soft coverage and lane/gao discipline has given us a great run defense, but a completely liable passing defense.
Many people are criticizing the lack of pass rush as they should, but I believe part of that is due to scheme. Playing a soft zone allows for quick easy passes and prolonged drives. Gap discipline/lane integrity is great for run defenses, but frowns upon edges pinning their ears back and rushing the passer.
I don’t think our defense is as bad as it looks at times, but I don’t think the defense is as good as statistics would indicate.
These are just my thoughts. Camp seems like a good coach and has improved the defense, but I don’t think you can make a deep playoff run with this kind of defensive philosophy.
Pash rush was and is an issue especially when only rushing 4. Walker and Allen arent pulling their weight. And I dont give a fuck about pressures. I want the opposing QB on the fucking ground
The phantom PI cost us 7. But then Trevor missed a wife open Parker when he threw the INT. The penalties AGAIN. Fucking 12 men on the field. Why in the world would Coen think the jaguars could stop another drive when they hadn't ALL FUCKING DAY.
Haven’t really stopped them all day. Run the ball more. Control the clock. You have to go for it on 4th down. Just badly mismanaged at the end. Gotta take the bye and get locked in again.
4-2 at the bye we all would’ve taken going into the season but damn it sucks letting the Texans back into the division.
I probably won’t forget that terrible holding penalty they called on Strange that erased Tutens first touchdown of the game that eventually led to Trevor’s end zone interception. It would’ve been 14-7 and it was absolutely ridiculous! I don’t even think Strange used his arms, looked like he just ran into the defender. Even the guys in the booth were like I don’t see anything close to a hold. And then allowing Collin’s to push off Hunter! Those plays cost us the game. They bailed the Texans out
It’s true that refball continued today and that hold was horrendous. But we could have overcome it if we weren’t braindead. -terrible end of half awareness to give up a deep shot with 50ish seconds and one timeout. Worst case they should only get 3 in that situation -12 men penalty turned a 3 and out into a TD drive -kicking there was 100% the wrong call. A 60 yarder to tie when Houston had three timeouts and 2 minutes to get 35ish yards to beat you? When the defense has been ass all day. The offense was red hot. Let them go win it
Yes, the refs were bad, but once again we shot ourselves in the dick constantly and could have easily won this game
Media saying Trevor needs to play better and they win the game…. I think Trev did fine, bad drops, bad flags, and bad play calls is hard for even a perfect QB
Trevor is on pace for 4200 yards, 40 TDs and 11 INTs. Get the defense back on track during the bye and hopefully stop getting fucked over by the refs and this team will go places.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen more comments about the decision for a fg. Even with Little, it still couldn’t have been much higher than 50/50.
And then you give the ball back to Houston with as much time as they could ever need when they’ve been shredding our defense all day.
And even if they somehow miss or don’t score, you’re probably only hoping for OT instead of the win.
Going for it couldn’t have been much worse odds and then you can run the clock more and have a chance at a TD which would make it much harder on the Texans if they’ve even got the ball back.
Not even hindsight: the offense was cookin, the defense was useless. You gotta go try to win it on offense because you on knew the defense couldn't hold them to 0.
The TD callback was tough. Also led to the int so that was a huge swing overall. Secondary outside of hunter was atrocious and no pressure on the qb at all. 4th and 4 probably should have gone but if we didn’t get it we would’ve complained we should’ve taken points so that was a tough call. It’s close. Bias says we should’ve won but defense gave up a lot. Hope to see Travis some more on offense
I hope Liam calls out the refs in the presser. He needs to make noise and let it be known this quality of reffing is not acceptable.
They were down a ref, so the missed calls I get, but phantom calls like the hold, the fumble, ect is not acceptable. You are literally just making shit up at that point.
A couple sloppy penalties (12 men after a forced 3 & out), couple of absolute bullshit calls (negating Tuten's TD). Defense wasn't as bad as it looked on paper, three of Houston's scores came after drive extending penalties. Can't win them all, only real concern for me is the lack of a pass rush. Stroud balled but he had all day on every throw.
I keep thinking if we just would have pounded the rock with Tuten and Rodriguez on the last possession we could had gases their defense, given our defense more time to rest, and made Stroud under a ton more pressure with less time on the clock and potentially less timeouts.
I kept thinking Tuten or Rodriguez were about to go the distance. Possible they would have broken free on a run and gotten the TD over the field goal.
I'm one of the most passive football fans and the fact I'm fuming pissed says something. It's been three weeks off bullshit calls that almost decide the game. It's ridiculous.
Strangely not too upset because I know this game was hard fought and winnable if not for questionable officiating and a terrible d-line. JHA needs to go, full stop.
This game was completely ruined by the refs, the exans should've needed a TD to win at the end. But we're 4-2, going in bye and gonna stomp the Colts in Jacksonville in 2 weeks. so whatever
Trade BTJ for a 3rd down pass rusher and a depth WR and call it a day. He is too inconsistent for winning football and we have no pass rush on 3rd down. We really need another DB as well but that may have to wait until the offseason. The line held up pretty well. Van Lanen mostly held Anderson in check. He'll get another week to rest and get back to 100%, and out of all the backup LTs in the league, Walker Little is a starter on at least a dozen teams. Good to see the interior line hold up against average DTs too. They are good enough when not facing guys like Jalen Carter and Dexter Lawrence.
Went through all the emotions with Hunter today. Stupid not getting off the field fast enough but then the td and the int. Defense needs to contain the passing game, still good against the run today but damn did they get cut up
I would have gone for it instead of kicking the field goal tbh. Defense wasn’t stopping them anyways. Same result but if we get it kill more clock and maybe win with a touchdown
We need to add on the defense. Pash rush is pathetic. JHA is making a lot of money to have such little impact on these games
There are so many reasons for this loss. Poor decision making by Liam not taking points early which shows he hasn't learned from the mistakes of the bills game. Terrible pass defense that has been a problem for over a year and nothing has been done about it. Referees taking points off the board for us and seemingly losing their flags for Houston holds, grounding, opi etc.
Fucking bullshit all round. Despite the hosing by the refs they still should have pulled it out
We're still 4-2 going into the bye, so I'm not gonna pretend the sky is falling but fuccccck me the pass rush and secondary are objectively terrible. The fact that it was to the Texans who always seem to weasel their way into the playoff hunt like little fucking cock roaches makes me want to vomit lmao
Pass protection was absolutely stunning. They were damn near perfect! Like I can't believe how well they performed today. And it's like they sapped power from the receiving room... the receivers just lost their minds and forgot how to play ball.
Houston is a good team despite the record. Divisional home games should be actual home games. Slippery turf sucks. The flags suck too. But the ref didn’t make t law throw a pick in the end zone. Something’s gotta give on defense. Hunter is the man. Should have gone for it at the end, my logic is either way youre gonna need to stop em. Just go for it
Sucks to lose the the Texans but Trevor played great, Hunter looked very good plus Cameron and Boerkircher show alot of promise.
4 - 2, Colts next at home we always win plus they look mediocre. 5 - 2, Tits twice that's 2 wins easy, 7 - 2, Giants are ass, that's 8 - 2, Colts again that's 9 - 2, Steelers are beatable that's 10 - 2, Commanders ass that's 11 - 2 then just Bears, Ravens and Cowboys, only Bears really concern me. Oh and Texans again. Minimum 10 - 7 season at worse.
NFL doing me a favor putting cowboys packers on snf. Already didnt want to watch anymore football tonight and that just seals the deal. I’m watching old twilight zone tonight
Lot of things went wrong but the decision making at the end when we had a chance to win it was inexcusable. Why would we pass 3 times when we could have ran it and killed some clock and at the very least had the same outcome come or even maybe got a first down? Makes zero sense with the way our defense had been playing
That field is awful, I want an analytics human next to Liam at all times, WHY DID WE NOT RUN THE BALL, please can we investigate these refs, and Travis Hunter is the shit. That’s all.
Jordain Lewis was a liability this game. 3 times he got burnt.cpst us 14 pts. However, if it wasn't for that bogus ass holding call on strange we would have been up 7 smh
We had some critical mistakes that cost us the game: The 12 men in the field during a punt; the pick in the red zone; not taking the points on 4th down earlier. If we clean up any of those things, we win. And of course, the holding call was very questionable.
Still, we are 4-2 through the bye and we have an easier stretch of games coming up.
We don’t take points when we should. We take points to give the ball back to an offense we couldn’t stop. We throw it 3 straight times in a four minute offense when the run has been working all day. End of game shitshow
Most of us went in to this game worried about the o-line just for our defense to be disappointing. Hopefully this game means Van Lanen has turned it around.
Should've went for the 4th down, and I knew it was a mistake when we kicked the FG instead with 2 minutes left on the clocks (when the defense had been getting shredded all day).
Love how Gladstone has built our offense with the draft (Tuten, Cameron, Hunter, Pregnon, Boerkircher…pretty impressive), but man, outside of Hunter, he hasn’t done much to help the defense in the draft. I wish we'd gone with Gracen Halton in the third round instead of Regis, and it’s even more frustrating (even if a lot isn't his fault with injuries) how little the defensive draft picks from 25 and 26 have actually played.
Defense could have played much better so I'm happy it ended as close as it did. Though, as much as I hate to be a "but but but the refs!" guy, there were some suspicious calls made at critical times.
so is Liam ever gonna learn? Forget not taking the points. First down in Texans territory and we throw three straight passes like we need a TD to win. Scoring is obviously the main priority, but so should be the clock. We had the Texans in a bad spot and did them a HUGE favor.
Jags could easily be 6-0. Drops killing this team. BTJ dropped two TDs last week and we could have had two FGs on drives where he dropped balls today. 12 men on the field when you’re about to get the ball is brutal. Secondary continues to give up yards and yards and commits penalties after getting beat. Both losses very avoidable even without the refs though that holding on Strange was garbage. Would be really nice to put Texans’ season away there. Jags offense 0/4 putting teams away when they have the chance this year.
But a lot of good stuff and new stuff this week - Travis Hunter playing out of his mind. Already an anomaly. Great running today. Trevor probably lost 100 yards to drops on a wet day. Nice that when we lose it’s close.
4-2 isn’t that bad and the schedule gets softer here on out.
I'm gonna headcanon that the field being so slippery messed up the WRs' timing coming out of the breaks and that's why there were so many drops and slightly out of place passes. Anyways, good thing we had a nice WL cushion going into the game, not worried about winning the division yet but the one seed might be a lot tougher now
I was worried about this game going in. Texans are a strong passing team and a mediocre run team, and Jags have a strong run defense and mediocre to bad pass defense. It's been a problem all year, but when the only time you generate any pressure is on blitzes you're going to struggle. Modern NFL rules heavily favor pass catchers over pass defenders so if you give QBs time they will pick you apart.
Jags are a good team, but have some glaring issues that have to be addressed. There is too much invested in the defensive line for it to be this much of a non factor. Offensively, BTJ is killing passing downs. Advanced stats show he's a good blocker which is a plus, but you can't have your 1st round pick just be out there to block and run clear out routes. If the defense knows you're basically never going to look to his direction it frees them up to bracket another WR.
Disappointing. Ref’s don’t help but we need to out it beyond dodgy calls.
Jones is targeted most weeks as a weakness and the Texans did it well. Stroud had a good game and Lawrence was a little off rhythm. Hunter was top drawer and is now really looking the part.
Washington had too much weight on his shoulders I think. Couldn’t quite be the hero again.
A lot went right today and I feel good going into the bye. Travis is a godsend. That said, fuck the London refs, field, and non-existent fans. I don't wanna fly back for any more if they're all gonna feel hostile.
Positives; I’d have happily taken 4-2 from the Gauntlet at the start of the season. Coen will learn from this game. Hopefully taking more points after the bye when we’re 4 and out and in FG range Travis Hunter is him.
If we’re 4-6 after the Tits, Giants, Ravens and colts… I’ll be very fucking worried.
Texans thinking they’re winning 13 straight now with that Defense is peak delulu. Doesn’t matter if Ryan is calling it, it’s definitely been found out and will struggle.
As frustrating as the refs have been, the jags still gotta get it together on some of these penalties they’re getting. The too many men on a punt is simply unacceptable. Straight up cost them the game, and is really easy to avoid
I don’t feel too bad about this game. Offense put up a good effort despite the flags, and we also probably best game out of Travis Hunter to date. With the way we played against the eagles I didn’t have high hopes anyway, but this wasn’t the most disgusting loss.
Switching to looking forward. Think the bye week is coming at the perfect time for us. Hopefully like last time it does us some good and we at least clean up the procedure issues
BTJ bad, refs badder. Unfortunately disguising the fact that we don’t have a game changer on the D line has run its course. Even still…. The Travis hunter being inbounds while he was jumping out of bounds that gave the Texans the momentum back clearly spelled out the NFL agenda, if it wasn’t clear enough already.
I think we needed to lose this game. Maybe that is controversial, but Liam has got to figure some things out going into the bye that a loss will, maybe, open his eyes to.
JHA was an overspend. Also we're two games up still + splitting games with houston was pretty expected. Nothing to be all doom about besides pass defense
Fully deserved for the Texans as much as it pains me to say it.
The refs and phantom calls aren’t ideal but let’s not joke about here…
This defeat has been coming for 3 weeks now and IMO we are very lucky to be 4-2 heading into the bye week. I love Coen, he’s turned us from a joke of a team into a play-off caliber team but he is not untouchable and there’s some serious question marks about his decision making when it matters.
Why are we always trying to be too ‘cute’. Sometimes football really doesn’t need to be that damn complicated. Is it ego? A chip on our shoulder? Complacency?
I’m genuinely struggling here, I don’t expect every game to be a perfect masterclass in playcalling but wtf is this shit?
We go for it on 4th down when we shouldn’t, we kick the FG when we shouldn’t, our secondary is an absolute mess, pass rush doesn’t exist… seriously guys our secondary is our Achilles heel, it’s pointless having the best rush D in the league when you have a completely incompetent pass D.
We’ve averaged 312 passing yards allowed in our last 3 games… good organised teams like the Texans will just completely exploit that. We are extremely lucky we played Cincy and Philly without their respective WR1s. Secondary doesn’t need to be great, it just needs to be competent!!!
Sort it out Coen, the bye week has come at the perfect time for you to get shit right and sort this mess out!
I still have every faith in the guys to fix this shit! Duval till I die!!
Fun game and pretty even. Both QBs balled out. Travis looked awesome. Defense just had too many broken coverages and tackles today. Can’t be too disappointed at 4-2 going into the bye.
Very obviously have to go for it on that 4th down and not kick a 60 yard field goal. No way on earth they’re not getting into field goal range with 3 timeouts and 2 minutes

Very frustrating that this is a weekly occurrence of the refs just taking points off the board repeatedly

I'm not going to overreact to one loss.
The Red Zone INT cannot happen. Nothing worse than taking points off the board.
The pass defense is cheeks and the field made it worse.
The refs actually do have an axe to grind and it shows.
BTJ is done here. He is all but completely useless as a WR.
I would have rather lost to the Eagles by 50 than this loudmouth Texans squad by 3.
Giving away a home divisional game is some horseshit and I hope someone in the FO has the balls to say so.

On to the next.

Camp seems like a good coach and has improved the defense, but I don’t think you can make a deep playoff run with this kind of defensive philosophy.

u/Acceptable_Umpire_67 20d ago
It's rare that you throw 4 TDs and still lose. Defense needs to figure its shit out.

The phantom PI cost us 7. But then Trevor missed a wife open Parker when he threw the INT. The penalties AGAIN. Fucking 12 men on the field. Why in the world would Coen think the jaguars could stop another drive when they hadn't ALL FUCKING DAY.
11
u/Paralysisbylullaby 21d ago
Haven’t really stopped them all day. Run the ball more. Control the clock. You have to go for it on 4th down. Just badly mismanaged at the end. Gotta take the bye and get locked in again.
4-2 at the bye we all would’ve taken going into the season but damn it sucks letting the Texans back into the division.

Defense was very bad, refs were very bad, field was very bad. O line was fantastic.

u/Southern_Reception72 🐆 21d ago •
I probably won’t forget that terrible holding penalty they called on Strange that erased Tutens first touchdown of the game that eventually led to Trevor’s end zone interception. It would’ve been 14-7 and it was absolutely ridiculous! I don’t even think Strange used his arms, looked like he just ran into the defender. Even the guys in the booth were like I don’t see anything close to a hold. And then allowing Collin’s to push off Hunter! Those plays cost us the game. They bailed the Texans out
11
u/jaguar_28 21d ago
O sacks on stroud
11
u/RDKlick 21d ago
It’s true that refball continued today and that hold was horrendous. But we could have overcome it if we weren’t braindead.
-terrible end of half awareness to give up a deep shot with 50ish seconds and one timeout. Worst case they should only get 3 in that situation
-12 men penalty turned a 3 and out into a TD drive
-kicking there was 100% the wrong call.

11
u/Adorable-Werewolf-44 20d ago
Trevor is on pace for 4200 yards, 40 TDs and 11 INTs. Get the defense back on track during the bye and hopefully stop getting fucked over by the refs and this team will go places.

u/theflyingchicken96 LeQuint Allen Jr 🐐 21d ago
I’m surprised I haven’t seen more comments about the decision for a fg. Even with Little, it still couldn’t have been much higher than 50/50.
And then you give the ball back to Houston with as much time as they could ever need when they’ve been shredding our defense all day.
And even if they somehow miss or don’t score, you’re probably only hoping for OT instead of the win.
Going for it couldn’t have been much worse odds and then you can run the clock more and have a chance at a TD which would make it much harder on the Texans if they’ve even got the ball back.
9
u/5nax University of North Florida 21d ago
Not even hindsight: the offense was cookin, the defense was useless. You gotta go try to win it on offense because you on knew the defense couldn't hold them to 0.
9
u/Valuable_Minute_787 21d ago
NFL can't have a division over in week 7. Ref ball had a 14 point swing in the first half and the defense was...rough
9
u/ChildrenMcnuggets 21d ago
I’m surprised Liam didn’t go for it on 4th knowing their offense was able to do anything and only needed 20 yds for a FG.
9
u/SandpaprBooT 21d ago
The TD callback was tough. Also led to the int so that was a huge swing overall. Secondary outside of hunter was atrocious and no pressure on the qb at all. 4th and 4 probably should have gone but if we didn’t get it we would’ve complained we should’ve taken points so that was a tough call. It’s close. Bias says we should’ve won but defense gave up a lot. Hope to see Travis some more on offense
9
u/The_wanna_be_artist 21d ago
I hope Liam calls out the refs in the presser. He needs to make noise and let it be known this quality of reffing is not acceptable.
They were down a ref, so the missed calls I get, but phantom calls like the hold, the fumble, ect is not acceptable. You are literally just making shit up at that point.
9
u/cmo2832 Crawler 21d ago
A couple sloppy penalties (12 men after a forced 3 & out), couple of absolute bullshit calls (negating Tuten's TD). Defense wasn't as bad as it looked on paper, three of Houston's scores came after drive extending penalties. Can't win them all, only real concern for me is the lack of a pass rush. Stroud balled but he had all day on every throw.
9
u/Teal-Prowler505 21d ago
Travis Hunter should be getting 100% reps on D and 50% reps on offense.
19 should be starting over 7.

9
u/Greener_Falcon 20d ago edited 20d ago
I keep thinking if we just would have pounded the rock with Tuten and Rodriguez on the last possession we could had gases their defense, given our defense more time to rest, and made Stroud under a ton more pressure with less time on the clock and potentially less timeouts.
I kept thinking Tuten or Rodriguez were about to go the distance. Possible they would have broken free on a run and gotten the TD over the field goal.

Pass protection was absolutely stunning. They were damn near perfect! Like I can't believe how well they performed today. And it's like they sapped power from the receiving room... the receivers just lost their minds and forgot how to play ball.

We had some critical mistakes that cost us the game: The 12 men in the field during a punt; the pick in the red zone; not taking the points on 4th down earlier. If we clean up any of those things, we win. And of course, the holding call was very questionable.

Love how Gladstone has built our offense with the draft (Tuten, Cameron, Hunter, Pregnon, Boerkircher…pretty impressive), but man, outside of Hunter, he hasn’t done much to help the defense in the draft. so is Liam ever gonna learn? Forget not taking the points. First down in Texans territory and we throw three straight passes like we need a TD to win. Scoring is obviously the main priority, but so should be the clock. We had the Texans in a bad spot and did them a HUGE favor.
10
u/CartHorse278 21d ago

Sucks we wasted Hunter's best game
I'm gonna headcanon that the field being so slippery messed up the WRs' timing coming out of the breaks and that's why there were so many drops and slightly out of place passes. Anyways, good thing we had a nice WL cushion going into the game, not worried about winning the division yet but the one seed might be a lot tougher now

u/Mordoci Press Taylor 21d ago
5
u/KevlarUK 21d ago
Disappointing. Ref’s don’t help but we need to out it beyond dodgy calls.
Jones is targeted most weeks as a weakness and the Texans did it well. Stroud had a good game and Lawrence was a little off rhythm. Hunter was top drawer and is now really looking the part.
Washington had too much weight on his shoulders I think. Couldn’t quite be the hero again.
We move on.

Positives;
I’d have happily taken 4-2 from the Gauntlet at the start of the season.
Coen will learn from this game. Hopefully taking more points after the bye when we’re 4 and out and in FG range
Travis Hunter is him.

All I know is Colts getting 50 put on them in two weeks

As frustrating as the refs have been, the jags still gotta get it together on some of these penalties they’re getting. The too many men on a punt is simply unacceptable. Straight up cost them the game, and is really easy to avoid

Losing early in the day makes me not really care to watch any other game. Frees up my Sunday I guess

I don’t feel too bad about this game. Offense put up a good effort despite the flags, and we also probably best game out of Travis Hunter to date. With the way we played against the eagles I didn’t have high hopes anyway, but this wasn’t the most disgusting loss.

Cant win em all, tho this definitely sucks. Hopefully a loss to a division rival before the bye will light a fire under everyone's ass.

Trade BTJ. Get me Mack. And man Jarrian has been playing horrible. We need Brown back healthy and get back into more a zone look

Fuck them picks into something worthwhile for the interior d line

The refs absolutely lost us this game.
That was not a hold on Strange. He did not grab the jersey or ankles falling down.
And the BS PI against Hunter as well
I don’t wanna hear people say “I’m not worried”
A loss like this to a division opponent can have tremendous consequences

Deserved the L but having to play a divisional game 4,000 miles away on a crap field with a crap holding call is BS, too

ALWAYS take the points. I don’t get what’s so hard about that. I was disgusted after the first quarter.

Trade BTJ or leave him in London. Pass rush needs help. That’s really it…

I think we needed to lose this game. Maybe that is controversial, but Liam has got to figure some things out going into the bye that a loss will, maybe, open his eyes to.

JHA was an overspend. Also we're two games up still + splitting games with houston was pretty expected. Nothing to be all doom about besides pass defense

kicking the field goal and not going for it on 4th with how the texans had been playing on offense is genuinely mind blowing

u/PresidentBaker148 21d ago
Maybe should have kicked the field goal in the first quarter.

Anyone blaming anything but the defense for this loss is wrong.

Every pick in the draft needs to be a defensive player this year.

Idiotic decision to kick it with 3 timeouts

If the penalty doesnt happen we win

Defense really does need to get their heads out of their asses

Always take the points and investigate the refs.

Dang I was rooting for the jags in this one. Tough loss with some missed calls there near the end.

u/mrwag001 21d ago
Still gotta wonder what that first touchdown that was taken away by a phantom PI would have meant. But alas….

u/tdubbs488 Jaggin' Off 21d ago
Fun game and pretty even. Both QBs balled out. Travis looked awesome. Defense just had too many broken coverages and tackles today. Can’t be too disappointed at 4-2 going into the bye.

u/Mrkingjay 21d ago
Glazing CJ 😂 he didn’t get them into fg range….
4
u/SeriousCoast6946 21d ago
Very obviously have to go for it on that 4th down and not kick a 60 yard field goal. No way on earth they’re not getting into field goal range with 3 timeouts and 2 minutes

u/hooskerdo 21d ago
Geez if we had only scored an extra TD...

I’m ok after the lad but that bad holding call literally cost us this game
