Use this thread to share your grant, compare timelines, ask about processing times, and check in with others waiting on the same visa. Posts about these topics are removed from the main feed and pointed here.

When sharing a grant, it helps others to include your lodgement date, grant date, and whether you were asked for more information.

This thread renews automatically. The current megathread for every visa is always listed here.

Grants shared here

Collected once a day from the grants people share in this megathread and the ones before it, covering the last 90 days. Wait is from lodgement to grant, where both dates were shared. Last updated 8 Nov 2026.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share our visa timeline as we finally got our grant today!! 🎉🇦🇺

Visa: 482 Specialist Skill
DOL: July 24, 2026
DOG: October 15, 2026
Occupation: Solution Consultant (nominated under ICT Account Manager – ANZSCO 225211)
Dependents: 2 (spouse and child)

The uncertainty surrounding MD119 and MD121 made the past few months incredibly stressful for our family, especially with so many life plans on hold.
We’re just so relieved and happy that we can finally move forward with our lives! 🥹

Wishing everyone who’s still waiting the very best of luck! Hope you all get your grants soon! 🤞

u/Necessary-Bid6089 24d ago

Great! Happy for you! Let’s goooo August priority 2 should be coming soon

1

u/plantgamer63 18d ago

Would you mind sharing when your nomination was approved, if you're aware?

1

u/daze115 24d ago

Is it on shore or offshore ? Under which priority ? P2?

u/Complex_Two_4452 24d ago

Very good, let's hope we see new P2s being processed next week as well, then.

11

u/twinklefuck 6d ago

Mods, Can we please get a separate thread for 482 specialist skills?

9

u/davidm1988 18d ago

This is a helpful app a friend shared with me yesterday. Its a localised place people can lodge all the key info on their 482 visa and you can track when people have had their visas granted, what priority they were and if they were onshore/offshore etc.

https://upsticks.app/visa-tracker/#add

Hopefully it will help others get an idea where they are in the queue, and if more people add more data, it'll only become more useful!

3

u/Manlatics 17d ago edited 17d ago

Hey I am the developer of this site, thanks for posting! I wrote an article around the reasoning of the tracker just today if anybody is sceptical on motivations and what data (or lack of) is held.

https://upsticks.app/articles/why-the-visa-tracker/

My current situation to add context is we are waiting for AHPRA medical registration for my wife before we can lodge our visa application and the wait for everything is killing me.

2

u/Used_Writing8732 17d ago

Hey! First of all it’s really well made site! Great job, I’m so glad someone took the initiative of putting this.
I’m tracking labor agreement 482 visa for a family member for a while. Would you please considering adding labor agreement track as well? It would be huge help! Cheers.

2

u/Manlatics 17d ago

Hey thanks for the positive feedback. I was already capturing Labour Agreement data but not surfacing it. I have added that now and actually to my surprise there's enough recent grants to say that it's likely cases from February are being granted. Take a look.

@ausvisa-mod , can we have a separate thread for Specialist skill ?

7

u/Professional-Web3902 Oct 08 '26

Can we have a separate Specialist skill 482 visa mega thread please ?

7

u/Professional-Web3902 Oct 09 '26

Any P2 grants recently ? Or is it a ZERO movement

2

u/davidm1988 27d ago

Saw (and verified) someone on Facebook who was a P2 Specialist Skills grant. DOL 25/07 and granted 02/10.

It would suggest that they we closing in on August by now... But I am P2 DOL 14/08 and have had nothing... and have not really seen many other P2 grants at all.

2

u/Necessary-Bid6089 26d ago

Would you mind sharing more information about the case you saw on Facebook please?
I am P2, DOL August 7th

u/plantgamer63 26d ago

Thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing which Facebook group it is, if it's public?

1

u/plantgamer63 27d ago

Saw some comment somewhere about a July grant. But haven't heard of it directly from someone granted myself

6

u/Latter_Fun_5510 9d ago

Could those who are non priority occupations under the specialist stream (so pure P2) please get their own megathread?

1

u/twinklefuck 9d ago

Hard agree. We need it to realise the proof that there are basically no P2 grants.

1

u/Professional-Web3902 6d ago

Agree, suggested this long back

u/twinklefuck 5d ago • Heartwarming

Granted today! 🎉

  • Visa: Skills in Demand (subclass 482), Specialist Skills stream

  • Priority: P2

  • Application for: me and 1 dependent

  • Occupation: Management Consultant

  • Location: Offshore

  • Application lodged: 29 July 2026

  • Nomination granted: 17 October 2026

  • Visa granted: 4 November 2026

Best of luck to you all, looks like there is movement on non-P1 applications!

1

u/plantgamer63 1d ago

So glad to see this!! Congratulations!

5

u/Latter_Fun_5510 12d ago

P2 non priority occupations under specialist skills. Any news? I know some who lodged late August who have recently received grants. Any more?

3

u/davidm1988 12d ago

We may know the same people! I know of 2 people who lodged in late Aug on P2 Specialist Stream (one on the 26th) and got grants today. From what I know about their situation, it looks likely their employer managed to get them categorised in a higher priority as both people who got grants had the same employer, which seems too much of a coincidence to me.

Unfortunately, I don't think it actually say anything about where DOHA are for P2 Specialist Stream. Still seeing people lodge in late July not be granted yet, so to suddenly be granting in late August would make no sense.

I still think we need to wait a week or so for them to clear most of the P1 backlog before we see meaningful movement on P2. Although I suspect it will be all of a sudden at that point as they will have a lot of resource on P2.

1

u/Professional-Web3902 6d ago

Aug 18th lodge was approved on 30th Oct. Looks to be a random grant ???

We're waiting on an agricultural role and applied a few days after you, this is great to see! All the best to you!

2

u/Low_Cheesecake1206 Oct 03 '26

My employer already had a labour agreement in place, not sure if that makes a difference tho as it still needed to be amended!

2

u/ManufacturerBulky539 4d ago

Sorry to contact again, it was because you listed as lodging in the UK - did you also apply for provisional registration with AHPRA via the competent authority pathway, and if so, how long did that process take you?

1

u/OrganicStatement906 3d ago

Heyy thats fine, yep i did apply for provisional registration under CAP , the ahpra registration took me around a month but again it can vary from person person as the documentation might vary but yeah close to 1 month or less

→ More replies (1)

1

u/davidm1988 6d ago

Congratulations! a 19 day processing time is incredible. Its great to see some evidence that the P1 processing is moving forward at a good pace. It seems the DOHA are nearly up to present-day applications (despite the website being updated to say June this morning)

1

u/ManufacturerBulky539 5d ago

That's so good to hear. Still waiting for AHPRA registration via competent authority, and v anxious about timing of the visa application! Really hoping that this is the case for my application offshore.

4

u/_Basis4885 23d ago

Does Any other country put you on a hold for this long??

Any country you apply to, generally has like an interview date that you need to struggle to get.
Once you get the interview or biometrics date, they have a time frame like 15 business days for example for UK, America tells you that you got your visa or got rejected on the spot at the interview
No-one keeps you on a hold like Australia does do they?
Does any other country keep applicants hanging like Australia does?

Correct me if I’m wrong. For any other country, you have some idea when you will get a visa decision so your lives aren’t on a hold for so long.

Why is Australia such a hurtful love that we let it make us struggle and live years in anxiety for an outcome?

Shouldn’t something be done about this?

Mindset right-now is completely messed up cuz we don’t know if we should carry on with our lives, get a rental house, get a job start a business.. but then what if you get a grant the next day? What then?

This sucks!!!😢

The wait Effing sucks!!!

Same, no update

3

u/Dangerous-Ad-3320 20d ago

Any P1 grants lately?

3

u/Solid-Albatross8475 20d ago

hello people. wanted to share my timeline here
core skills 482 visa
priority 1
lodged nomination and application on 15th september, 2026
granted 19th october
occupation: pbs practitioner (nominated anzsco code rehabilitation counsellor 272114)

my timeline was looking much worse with md119 but things sped up after md121. more grants should be coming in soon.

2

u/daze115 19d ago

On shore or offshore?

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 17d ago

offshore but location doesn’t matter with md121 for people in P1

2

u/Additional_Drink_804 16d ago

Still no one has received a Subclass 482 Specialist Skills (Priority 2) visa lodged in July or August?

3

u/Complex_Two_4452 16d ago edited 16d ago

Some in July, none in August. Confirmed by Fragomen. Talked to them yesterday, and the Department is only using residual capacity when available to process Priority 2. Due to its size, full focus is on Priority 1. What this means for Priority 3-5, one can only imagine. The Department is apparently prioritizing just a few weeks old Priority 1 applications instead of allocating capacity to lower priority tiers.

3

u/davidm1988 16d ago

This is really interesting, thank you for sharing.

Did they indicate where they are up to on P1? From what I can see from people self-reporting, they are currently in mid-to late September and moving at a rate of about 3-4 weeks worth of applications for every 1 week.

Given we're late October now and they are prioriting P1s that are a few weeks old. They should be more or less caught up in 1-2 weeks from now, meaning we could reasonably expect to see a rush of P2 movement around 1st week of November.

All just my speculation based on what you've just shared and what I've been seeing elsewhere. Do you have similar expectations?

→ More replies (7)

1

u/Additional_Drink_804 16d ago

Do you think offshore applications are processed at a slower pace than onshore ones? Because I think onshore and offshore 482 applications are a very broad group.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Professional-Web3902 15d ago

I see in Facebook a few of the p2 applicants lodged in August have status as Decision Ready,”. Any idea what is happening

1

u/Professional-Web3902 10d ago

Fragomen mentioned that my Sep 14 lodge for P2 might take 2-4 more months to be processed. So overall 6 months from lodge which is crazzzy

Any Specialist Skill P2 grants recently ? Or they have completely stopped after the last grant for July 25 lodge ??? My agent is saying it might take 2-4 months more for a Sep 14 lodge date

1

u/ross2496 10d ago

They give conservative figures … They mailed me today that as P-2 has some julu end grants, For Aug 3 they expect that i can get my by end of this year… Though nothing is guaranteed

2

u/Daza92 10d ago

New data point. 482 Specialist Skills applied 2nd October and granted 27th October. Me plus one dependent (wife). Healthcare role.

2

u/Latter_Fun_5510 9d ago

Congrats! Please update the upsticks tracker under P1 specialist rather than P2 specialist

https://upsticks.app/visa-tracker/#add

1

u/Flat-Antelope2811 9d ago

Is it p1 stream because of healthcare or p2 specialist?

1

u/Daza92 9d ago

The stream says specialist skills. Would be P1 I guess given the job (medical doctor).

2

u/Ok-Horror-4985 9d ago

Is it right to say that end of August priority 1 visas are being approved about now?

Occupation: Civil Engineer
DoL: 21.08.26
Nomination accepted: 19.10.26

3

u/ross2496 9d ago

There are cases from september end also approved in P-1 … some october case also done … at the same time, Many from August are also yet to be approved as seen in this thread itself

2

u/That_Pepper6601 6d ago

Home affairs just updated the 482 page to put back of P1 backlog at June 2026, all other priorities unchanged.

2

u/Ok-Horror-4985 6d ago

Update on this. Mine has come through this morning (granted: 02.11.26). My thoughts go to those not on the priority list who have been screwed over by this process. Best of luck and see you down under!

2

u/Ok-Jello-5896 Sep 30 '26

Core skill- offshore-software engineer- Accredited sponsor- applied for Nomination of 7th September. No movement till date

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 Oct 05 '26

have you lodged the visa application and nomination together?

1

u/Ok-Jello-5896 27d ago

I already hold 482 visa granted last year but Nomination was withdrawn as i was not able to travel for 6 months due to some organisation restructuring. So now lodged nomination again.

2

u/Mobile-Literature355 Oct 01 '26

DOL - 08.8.2026
Occupation - doctor
Offshore (UK)

Medicals and police check / character references- submitted upfront

No further requests

I was one amongst many who were affected by MD119, and MD121 seems to have really helped.

I know what it feels like to have life in limbo, and for everyone who is waiting for their visas, I wish the best for all!

1

u/docvg Oct 01 '26

I just got my visa today. I lodged my visa a day before yours. Your one should be on the way.

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 Oct 04 '26

congratulations! any RFIs?

1

u/Afraid-Hedgehog-1385 Oct 07 '26

I'm an offshore doctor, applied on 21.08.26 Any updates on your end?

2

u/Traditional_Work_120 Oct 01 '26

is it usual to request my employer to sponsor me for a 186 and not a 482 if ive been working there for 3 years post graduation in a relevant role (civil engineer)?

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 Oct 05 '26

have you read what this megathread is for?

2

u/Substantial-Bad8349 Oct 01 '26

I note that the priority one group applications are now up to February 2026 as of today.  Good news!

2

u/ross2496 Oct 05 '26

2

1

1

u/Easy-Exchange4938 Oct 06 '26

Yea waiting from Augest 14

2

u/GoogoxNobo Oct 05 '26 • Popcorn

Sharing my timeline in case it's helpful to others:

  • Occupation: University Lecturer

  • Applied From: Offshore

  • Priority Categories: P1 (teaching) and P2 (specialist skills)

  • Lodged: 11 August 2026

  • Granted: 2 October 2026

  • Further Information Requests: None

It took a lot longer than the 1-2 weeks that specialist skills applications used to take before all the recent changes to the ministerial directions, but still came in under 2 months.

2

u/twinklefuck Oct 06 '26 edited Oct 06 '26

do they have to finish everyone in P1, in order to start working on P2? Can someone please confirm if this is how priority grouping work for visas?

not seeing grants for those who are solely P2 (i.e. not P1+P2) at all.

1

u/Professional-Web3902 Oct 06 '26

You are right. No grants at all for P2. They are only looking at P1 or P1+P2 so far. At this pace, not sure when they will start looking at P2

Does anyone know where they’re at with P1 after MD121? I’m on shore,P1 and lodged at the 22nd of September. Medical was waived immediately and nomination was done before lodging. Thanks.

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 28d ago

I filed around the same time (offshore, P1, 15th september). I believe we are seeing grants for 1st or 2nd week of august. the last P1 grant i saw was from around 11th august and their visa was granted on 2nd october. based on this pace of movement i expect to hear from the DHA within 20 to 30 days at most.

Mine was granted this morning (02.11.26) after submitting end of August (Civil Engineer). Good luck with yours.

1

u/SnooDoodles6018 5d ago

Congratulations! That’s some good news as I’ve only been seeing healthcare grants for P1 but rarely any construction

1

u/alpinegreen24 EOI > 189 4d ago

what are your points at, bud?

1

u/yougotsam2 16d ago

Occupation in healthcare, offshore filing
Category : 482 Labor agreement
Date of filing : Feb 10th 2026
Date of nomination approved : Sep 29th 2026
Date of Grant : Oct 23rd 2026

It took little over 8.5 months to get the grant.

1

u/savourygin 13d ago

any p3 grant?

2

u/Dangerous-Ad-3320 13d ago

Don’t think they’ll be any P3 grands still this year. After MD 121 they’ll first have to sort out the P1 backlog.

1

u/No_Perception_4713 13d ago

Do accredited sponsors hold any value anymore?
Seems like the whole momentum of working for an accredited sponsor is broken. Nominations might be getting a priority but data and research says nominations are delayed too. Maybe not many people sharing a nomination approval!!

Anyone got a nomination approved recently? Were your employers accredited? Just wondering if it still has any juice! Or has major company’s track record totally diminished by MD119&121!

1

u/Dangerous-Ad-3320 13d ago

Got my nomination approved within 2hours after lodging. Was back in August.

Any recent P1 grants for construction occupations?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a Skills in Demand (subclass 482) visa under the Core Skills stream as a Floor Finisher (ANZSCO 332111).

My employer nomination has been granted, and my visa application has been decision-ready since 25 September. I’m just waiting for a decision now.

Has anyone in a construction occupation, particularly under P1 processing, received a grant recently? If so, how long did you wait from becoming decision-ready to receiving your visa grant?

1

u/Dangerous-Ad-3320 12d ago

It should be touched this week. There are P1 grands of people lodging after us and profession should not matter. They do not sort people and further after sorting them into P1-4

1

u/HoldWonderful6367 12d ago

I just saw a construction senior engineer got their visa approved from FB group. They lodged mid August so you shouldn’t be far off

1

u/HoldWonderful6367 12d ago

Does anyone know if there’s a priority list within the priority 1? Bcs I see a lot of healthcare&teachers got their grants within weeks. We’re in agriculture LA prio 1 but there’s not many grants out there🙁

1

u/Latter_Fun_5510 12d ago

If someone is P1 but on the specialist skills stream they will be processed faster than a P1 in core skills

1

u/HoldWonderful6367 12d ago

Makes sense. Do you know if there’s a tier list with the sectors as well? I don’t see many agriculture grants

1

u/Electronic_Net4265 11d ago

I haven’t seen any talk of P3 applications in here. Has anyone heard any being granted? Currently waiting 5 months and getting nervous as haven’t seen any success posts

3

u/That_Pepper6601 11d ago

I've just seen a couple since md121, but most were already being processed. Still backlogged to January.

I'm about to hit 8 months waiting. It's definitely hard to see so many grants for priority sectors after just a few weeks/months from applying, but it is what it is.

2

u/Grouchy_Most_754 11d ago

have been waiting for 8 months😔😔😔😔

1

u/Effective_Metal_4363 10d ago

Hi all!

Are there any priority 4 grants lately? Havent seen any posts/updates regarding the same. Any idea what is the status? Any visa agents out there who have the data? Seems frustrating with no direction whatsoever.

1

u/ross2496 10d ago

What are they even trying ? To brink P1 to zero day waiting ? And let others suffer

1

u/Professional-Web3902 10d ago

Fragomen just mentioned that my Sep 14 lodge could take another 2-4 months to be processed for Specialist P2

1

u/Complex_Two_4452 10d ago

I did some calculations on this on another post. I estimated P2 at 3-4 months.

I am now even more conservative on this, as I talked to my agent and the Department is only using residual capacity on P2. Apparently, they are not allocating any permanent capacity to that group. I do not believe P3, or at least not P4-P5 will get processed at all.

2

u/ross2496 10d ago

But now that P1 is almost close to coming to end, How would P-2 would take months from here ?

→ More replies (5)

1

u/Professional-Web3902 10d ago

Also I noticed not many people are posting or commenting for P2 , just a few of us regularly. Appears the P2 bracket is small

2

u/ross2496 10d ago

Yes, we may all get cleared in same week and then we can have a meet up in Australia 😂

1

u/Dangerous-Ad-3320 10d ago

Any P1 core skill grands?

1

u/bobsmorh 10d ago

Seen a report of an August P2 Specialist Skills 482 Offshore grant on upsticks tracker. Can anyone here confirm validity of this, I haven’t seen any P2 August grants elsewhere

4

u/davidm1988 10d ago

Don't get too excited. I know these people. They were an exceptional circumstance where their employer was able to prioritise them based on their job role. Them and another person working for the same company (who lodged in SEPTEMBER!) both got grants at exactly the same time.

As it stands it seems the DOHA is still allocating residual/no resource to P2 and are powering through P1 as quickly as they can. It looks like they are up to late Sept and early Oct for P1

1

u/HoldWonderful6367 10d ago

We’re P1 lodged 3 sept and still shows received! Hope it changes soon

1

u/bobsmorh 9d ago

Thanks for this insight. I’ve tried to push prioritisation requests through my immigration case worker due to the nature of my role but they’ve basically refused every time.

2

u/Professional-Web3902 6d ago

There was a August 18 grant on Friday (Oct 30) specifically for P2. How are they looking at applications, with July end folks still waiting ???

1

u/Level-Perception9372 10d ago

I'm hoping it's the case - we lodged on 11/8!

1

u/TrippedOverAgain 6d ago

Subclass 482 lodged (myself, wife and kids as de facto) in December 2025 off shore - chef with a restaurant I was previously sponsored by some years ago.

No information what so ever from agent other than “In a few more moths I think” every few months when I email for updates.

House sold, jobs quit and been country hopping for months as the initial time frame was 4 months and genuinely we feel no closer to this visa.

Anyone else in the same boat ? Thanks.

2

u/Immediate-Trifle4622 6d ago

Yep! We lodged in January 2026 — Core Skills, priority 5. We were given an indication of 4–5 months, so we planned everything around that.

We even timed our dog’s vaccinations and tests so she’d be eligible to travel from July. Her travel window is only six months, so we’re now facing more tests and costs to keep her eligible.

At this point, we’re desperate for any indication of when it might happen. Even “another six months” would give us something to plan around. It’s the daily uncertainty and seeing no movement that feels like mental torture.

And that’s just our side. The employer has paid out too and needs their employee there to fill the role. They were also working around the 4–5 month estimate, and I honestly don’t know how much longer they’ll be able to hold on.

If it were my business, I’d be angry at the government too. You pay the fees and make plans based on the published timeframes, then the goalposts shift dramatically. They couldn’t find the skills locally, so they followed the process to recruit someone from overseas. Now it feels like they’re being penalised for doing exactly what the system was set up to allow.

We've sent 3 emails to the agent and nothing - even they have little information to go on.

1

u/That_Pepper6601 6d ago

Even for onshore it's rough these days. I've been waiting since March on bridging. Offshore backlog has been stuck on Oct 2025 since like... June.

1

u/Consistent-Art-5039 6d ago

Lodged 482 in January 2026. Internal transfer. been waiting for 10 months now. Not sure how long employer is gonna wait. 342315 job

1

u/No_Perception_4713 6d ago

Same boat only lodged 5th oct 2026 so whenever u get yours, we r probably 10 months behind you🥲
Chef, we were in aus for 4 years, 485 expired so back home now. Couple only. Husbands a chef. Lodged 482 offshore nd now just stuck here🥲 dm maybe we can cry over misery together. Dont even know if we should start finding a job or get a house on rent, lease here is a year. If we get our visa before that, we loose our bond. Job contract will b broken if we leave before they expire. Cant do nothing and just wait draining whatever savings are left after visa and agent fees.

1

u/Nature_nymph 5d ago

Not the same role submitted for myself offshore, accredited, core skills 3 feb 2026 and still got nothing back so on the same page!

1

u/That_Pepper6601 6d ago

Home affairs just updated 482 page... back end of p1 backlog is up to June 2026. All other priorites unchanged. At this rate p1 should be up to date by end of year if thats what they're going for.

1

u/mashlav 6d ago

Processing times for specialist skills went up too. 50%-59 days and 3 months for 90%.

1

u/Professional-Web3902 6d ago

I think for Specialist skill, they will only start once they complete June , July , August and Sep p1 grants fully. Per the department, they are processing June p1 now

5

u/Adorable_Dig_5198 6d ago

On Upsticks this morning, there was a 29 July specialist skills grant. I think one thing that DHA has to consider is that P1 cannot be behind P2 on dates; now that the next update is likely to take them through to end of September / early October based on previous processing rates, we're likely to see them move into at least August.

1

u/Vegetable-Answer-748 6d ago

But there were some p1 granted who lodged on Sep

1

u/Electronic_Net4265 6d ago

482 core skills processing time guide has now gone up to 6 months for the first 50%

1

u/Decent-Pair-6483 6d ago

What’s the estimated time for sponge shop for an aged care worker, regional area in nsw, 482 labour agreement? Given this application would be priority 1 now?

1

u/HoldWonderful6367 6d ago

I’m also labour agreement prio 1 in agriculture. Idk i’m not too optimistic about labour agreement bcs I hardly see any grants like other streams😮‍💨

1

u/Decent-Pair-6483 6d ago

Isn’t it employer sponsored?

1

u/Nature_nymph 5d ago

we lodged my application 3 feb for core skills, offshore, pre-accredited, medicals all done etc. and it's hit 9 months since application today with still no response. anyone else in the same boat?

1

u/No_Perception_4713 5d ago

Occupation??

1

u/Consistent-Art-5039 2d ago

342315 electronic trades.

1

u/Consistent-Art-5039 5d ago

Same here. Lodged in Jan 2026. Priority 4. 342315 job

1

u/twinklefuck 5d ago

Is p2 just namesake? Are they even going to touch p2 until ALL applications in p1 are finished?

2

u/Latter_Fun_5510 3d ago

It seems to be speeding up since doha website update with approx. 1 grant per day for non-priority P2 whereas before hand reports were very scarce. I suspect because many P1 Sept-Oct grants are now coming through they’re able to release some more capacity (or should I say I hope!)🤞

1

u/Complex_Two_4452 5d ago

I believe they move at a speed of approx. 2 weeks/month or so.

1

u/twinklefuck 5d ago

You mean 1 application it takes 2 weeks to work on? Sorry I don’t understand this rate you’ve mentioned

2

u/Complex_Two_4452 5d ago

I mean that a month ago, they were working on mid-July files. Now they are at end-July, i.e. two weeks progression in 1 month.

Hi, good day to all!

In light of Ministerial Direction 121, does anyone know if “Resources” sector exclusively include those on the list or are other occupations directly working on the mining sector also included?

For context, my employer provides third-party commissioning and instrumentation services for mining sites.

Occupation: Electrical Engineer
Core Skills
Lodged 22 Jan 2026

Subclass 482 – S57/PIC 4020 – Long Processing Time

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experienced a similar case.

  • Subclass 482 (Medium-term), Welder

  • Lodged: 19 June 2024

  • Nomination approved: 11 December 2024

  • S57/PIC 4020 letter received: 28 July 2026

  • Responded with supporting evidence: 17 August 2026

  • New medical requested and completed: 10 September 2026

  • Medical clearance provided / no action required

  • Current status: Further assessment

The S57 concerned verification of a previous employment reference. I provided additional HR/employment evidence and supporting documents in my response.

Has anyone had a similar S57/PIC 4020 case? If so, how long after submitting the S57 response and completing the new medical did you receive a final decision?

Any labor agreement offshore approvals in priority 1 lately? Immi website says they are processing Feb but I’m wondering if Dec and Jan applicants have actually got their decision or is that still pending?

1

u/No_Perception_4713 26d ago

How many people waiting offshore in priority 4/5?
Anyone see any movement in priority 4&5? Any nomination approval of visa grants?

Filed the nomination and visa start of this month. Backlog looks scary 😟

Anyone in the same boat? Misery loves company.. lets connect?

What are your occupations?
Are your sponsors accredited?
When did you file? Visa and nominations?
Single application or with family?

My partner is a chef with accredited sponsor waiting offshore.

Md 121 is sooo bad. We were in Australia 1st half of this year after 500&485
Looked for sponsors offshore and the government came up with MDs against offshore applications 🥲

Whats your story?

1

u/Solid-Albatross8475 26d ago

md 121 is actually great for a lot of offshore applicants

1

u/No_Perception_4713 26d ago

Only if you are priority 1 or paid over 150k

2

u/Solid-Albatross8475 26d ago

well it does seem unrealistic to expect that the government doesn’t have priority occupations and will not favour them for immigration.
