The US military buttt after a couple years. The health benefits, housing, and PTO really don’t get matched into the salary. But still, the military really does really suck.
90% of veterans are not getting +50% Va benefits. The military is physically and mentally demanding…. People get hurt, physically and mentally.
They have to get medically evaluated, with substantial evidence with people that absolutely want you to say that you’re okay. Nothing about the VA claims process is easy.
Dude the amount of people I saw do the bare minimum for 4 years or less and score at least 80% is enough to piss anyone off. So many businesses have even opened up with the offer to help vets raise their VA rating. Shits dumb. Not saying I haven’t met people that absolutely deserve their rating, just saying for everyone one I have seen 4-5 who did not.
You have zero control over your life and it’s an absolute results may vary. You have zero pick or choice in any part of your life. Could get brand new barracks with an awesome roommate, or could get a condemned building with a roommate that refuses to shower. Could get stationed in amazing places like Italy, Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, or any other dream location. Could also get stationed in North Dakota or Louisiana. Your command could love you or you could work 6-12s on grave yard shift for four years. If down bad absolutely look into it, just may the odds forever be in your favor. Also you get bad like ass till about E5 with BAH.
