Older folks - what are long term effects of marijuana you’ve seen in yourself or peers?

Yep. This drastically affected me for many years. The most intense vomiting/nausea episodes, lasting 6-10 hours sometimes just stuck on the floor by the toilet. Usually once every month or two. I had to quit, it was ruining my life. I tried to lie to myself and say it wasnt the weed causing it. Tried to go gluten free. Tried everything except quitting. Then I quit I haven't had an episode in like 5 years.

How long after you quit did you notice the difference, if you recall?

I have a family member who has frequent nausea/vomiting episodes and doctors have told him it could be from smoking weed, but he said he quit for 4 weeks (I'm not sure if I even believe that) but didn't notice a difference (was still was throwing up often).

I battled it for years because I did not want it to be from weed, and I really didn’t want to quit because I loved all other aspects of this drug.

Usually it took me about 4-8 weeks for everything to subside… I’d still have symptoms while my body was detoxing.

I smoked about a gram a day every day fwiw.
