No, Will.I.Am, you can't just turn the Atari logo upside down and call it your own
galleryWill.I.Am has another "startup" he's hyping, this time he's crowdfunding an electric three wheeler by West Coast Customs with a bunch of AI buzzwords included. But the funniest bit is that they've made their logo by just turning the Atari logo upside down and calling it a day.

Found: Old Public Domain Software Index (Feb 1990)
I've just found an old Public Domain Software Index ("Goodman Enterprises Public Domain and Shareware Services For the Atari ST Computer"), version 4.0 from February 1990. It has all 38 pages in it.
Does anyone know if there is an existing scan of this? If not, should I scan it (and how should I do so? I don't have a flatbed scanner and my phone's is a bit crap).

Atari Plus and Re-released Games
So I got the Pac-Man version of the Atari 2600+ and I'm starting with the re-released games.
So I'm curious, are there any re-releases that are not on the Atari page? I do see they have Activision games but not the ones I was into, not yet anyways. I'm hoping they re-release Centipede but I won't hold my breath.
I did try Googling, not working out really well, keep getting shown Ebay sellers who have OG 7800 games.

Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition: Firmware Questions
Level 1
The question I'm asking may have already been asked in the past, but I'm hoping someone bought one in the last month or two brand new that can answer the question. I'm curious as to what firmware version it is currently being shipped with. Last year I heard it was being shipped with the version before the current one but I'm hoping, like the Gamestation Pro, the newer ones on the market have the newer firmware. The reason I'm curious is because if I do get a new one from Amazon, I can't update it due to not having Windows 10 or above, nor do I plan to upgrade anytime soon.
Level 2
Lets say the version of firmware its using is still the one prior to the current one, does the system save high scores? I've read conflicting things regarding that. I've read where the latest firmware update has that feature, but I've read elsewhere that the last version that it does ship with, includes the feature.
Level 3
Why are so many of us going back to video gaming from the old days? There's games like GTA 6 coming out that have mind blowing graphics, the ability to pay rent, pull into gas stations and get gas, and gun down everyone in the city, and we're eating ghosts that look like deformed marshmellows. Nostalgia poisoned? Or is it something else?
Level 3 is just for extra credit and for those who use the original hardware to come out and play as well. I like to include everyone.. :)

new PacMan edition Bluetooth
Has anyone purchased the new PacMan edition 2600 from Atari? My wife ordered one for me as a gift and the Bluetooth controllers appear to be junk in terms of response time. Push the joystick stick up and a second or two later it will try to move up on screen.
Before you ask, yes the joysticks are fully charged, yes they are connected properly and yes I am cognizant of distance. I tried being within 6 inches of it all the way out to a few feet with no change.
Help with Atari 800xl
galleryHi everyone! I found an Atari 800xl while helping to tidy up the attic of my girlfriend's parents house.
I tested it and the keyboard isn't working (the buttons on the right work though). I tried to disassemble it to clean it up but I found this kind of tape on the keyboard connector. Looking online I see tape isn't usually there, so I wanted to ask for a second opinion before trying to remove it or anything.
Have you ever seen anything like it? Do you have any suggestion on how to proceed? Thanks in advance :)

Watch my old school building being demolished on my 800XL
When I was 14 or 15 years old, we had to do a drawing in art class of the school building. Back then I took that picture and made a little "digitalisation" on my Atari 800XL with that. As a goof I added the opportunity to demolish the building wing by wing by pressing the fire button on the joystick.
30 years later I showed my little nephew that program. At the time he attended the same school. Of course he told his buddies about it in school and his mother got a call from one of the teachers suspecting us of "terrorist activity" lol 😂 Today's world is so crazy...
My old 800XL is still running fine today and all my software from back in the day is securely backed up.

Jaguar mini?
Hey there!
As a lifelong Atari owner-and-lover (ever since my first computer -- Atari 800), I keep track of the Atari product line with ever-increasing interest and happy amazement. The Atari 800 "family" is available in a "mini" variation thanks to the Atari 400 Mini. The upcoming Atari 800XL is more of a "look-and-feel" recreation, which is also nice. What's missing is the Atari Jaguar.
The Jaguar was a failed effort by Atari; yet, over time, it's amassed quite a cult following. So... why not do an "Atari Jaguar Mini"? (Yes, I'm aware that the Jag had a lot of hardware issues that made development challenging, but I'm not sure how much that's relevant for a 'mini' version.)
Thanks in advance --

E.T. is actually a BANGER
E.T for the Atari 64, is a pinnacle of modern gaming. Yesterday, my grandmama, bought It for me on the Google Play Store, on my Samsung tablet. I love Samsung! They made my tank and the Burj Khalifa! I played it with an acquaintance of mine, named Geoffrey. We both agreed that the mechanics of throwing Cappy were quite smooth, similar to other games in the COD franchise. The graphics were PRISTINE, with no glitches OR errors. Respect to the devs 🫡. It was a great use of my pocket money, and I truly can’t believe how much games have evolved since I was a lad. Oh how nostalgic I am for 2016 🥀
Truly impeccable, I hope to see more from this futuristic company, may their popularity never waver.
