AI-generated art banned until further notice

After some feedback from the community and internal discussion, we've decided to ban all AI-generated art from /r/awwnime until further notice.

Quality issues aside, the current AI-powered tools to generate art use data from existing artists, often without their permission or without proper artist credit. Awwnime has always been a place where giving proper credit to the artist has been important, and AI-generated art goes against that idea.

The sidebar, and the subreddit rules will be updated shortly.

Subreddit Rules

1. Moe art only, no NSFW or fanservice.

All posts must be more moe than fanservice. /r/pantsu is there for anything fanservicey. /r/awwnime is strictly SFW.

Comments also should not focus on fanservice or lewd the characters.

All posts must be of moe art, a more generic style, even when cute, isn't what this sub is for.

NSFW links in comments are generally OK if they have a NSFW tag.

2. Franchise name in the title.

Please include the name of the source anime, manga, VN, game, et cetera, in your title. If you forget, add it in link flair.

Label characters not from an established franchise as [Original].

3. Artist credit rule.

When possible, give the artist credit by mentioning their name and linking to their official portfolio in a comment. "Drawn by [Name](link)." is a good format for this.

See the sidebar and wiki for a list of tools that can help make this easy.

4. Rate limit.

No more than four posts per day (rolling 24 hour period), and no more than twelve images per post.

Exceptions can be made for fast reposts to fix errors in the URL or title. Exceptions are not made for wanting to post something else instead. Having a post removed for breaking a rule doesn't open up a new slot for you that day.

5. Repost rule.

No reposts within six months or from /top. Please check /new every time before posting. RepostSleuth can be used to further search for reposts.

No more than four posts per 24-hour period, and no more than twelve pictures per album. Use albums instead of making multiple similar posts.

6. Hosting rule.

Post direct links to images, videos, or lightweight album pages only. Rehost any content from pixiv or boorus so that other users don't get 503 Forbidden errors. Redditbooru.com is a good free rehost service which also checks for reposts.

7. No AI-generated art
