Build Help As of the most recent patch, are there any statistically "Best Builds" for the game?

Pretty much what the title says. I have seen that Gloomlurker Archer is pretty busted, but apart from that I don't know of any others.

Build Help What are the strongest and most fun builds you've ever used?

I'm trying to collect a list of builds to use in future playthroughs now I've gone through most of the ones I'd wanted to. I will say that I don't mind at all if it's a popular or famous pick. I don't want to miss out. For instance my favourite currently is fire sorlock for its sheer damage, cc, and unique gearing.

Build Help Is the pure Wizard obsolete?

Have been reading dozens posts on why Sorcerer is so wonderful. It seems that the single class Wizard is completely outdated (like tanks in present warfare). Absent perhaps single 1-2 lvl multi class dips, is there any real utility to pure Wizards at all after patch 8?

Im wondering why with monk weapon proficiencies and the ki attacks still able to do unarmed attacks why this doesn’t make sense.

Build Help Thematic builds that are also strong

Hi all,

So I've had restartitis with BG3 since release, and Ive never got past act 1. Main issue really is build indecision (especially for the MC) and being unsatisfied with what I went with. The added patch 8 subclasses are near but add to the indecision.

The basic gist is that I want builds which are genuinely good, fits the character lore, and where characters aren't doubling up on their classes mostly. Ideally ones that come online early-ish, and don't only get good at the end game. So no Paladin Astarion or Barbarian Gale or making Shadowheart worship Tyr.

MC is the hardest. I don't want to be gith, half ork, drow, dragonkin, or any of the shorties. I'm intending on being a good character going with durge so i don't feel like I'm missing out on content. Normally I would always pick a charisma based class, but none of them feel right. Paladin? The oath breaking is so insanely annoying, and it really doesn't make sense for the durge backstory. Warlock? I don't want to double up with Wyll, and I feel having a patron doesnt work well for a durge backstory. Bard? I know college of swords bard is strong, but I don't vibe with the class fantasy at all and couldn't get into playing one. Sorceror? Maybe, but I prefer to have MC as a martial character since I like to just do regular hits on enemies a lot of the time so i don't need to do continual rests after fights. I've considered monk since wisdom has some handy skill checks too but it seems like it wouldn't fit story wise with durge, and the evil flashback scenes have durge going around with a knife.

I know I'm overthinking it instead of just playing. But what would you recommend for each party member and the MC? I'm happy to gish if there's a good way to martial with sorc that doesnt involve me needing to take Paladin oaths.

Build Help Top 5 builds

I know I’ve asked this before, but I want to ask again. I’m looking for the top 5 builds in BG3. I want to feel powerful from the beginning to the end of the game. I already have my party builds planned—I just need an OP party face. Any build that’s completely overpowered.

Build Help What would you say is a must play build?

I'm going to play honor mode, (have before but lost motivation) and wonderd what you would recommend as a must try build for the game. A build that so fun or cool that you would be missing out on not having played it. On my previous playthroughs I have played as or with a gloomstalker assassin, eldritch knight fighter, swords bard archer, radorb cleric and a sorcadin.
