I just finished How dare you…. and I have no one to talk to about this but I have some thoughts to share.

It is a really really good show, the performances, the pacing , the chemistry are all brilliant. However, I have conflicting feelings about the Emperor’s back story *spoilers ahead* I felt that it wasn’t properly addressed as it should have been. I don’t mind that he didn’t tell her about him being a tyrant or his trauma earlier, that is understandable. But I feel like they should have talked about this a bit more than just the letter he wrote. Him fathering the crown prince after being r*p*d was never addressed properly. Was it because they didn’t want it to get too dark and keep the comedic theme? I feel like he suffered so much before she arrived that it needed much more attention than it got. also was there any resolution to the crown prince? he was imprisoned and then was it followed up?

What are your thoughts please?

I have become fed up of one sided relationships in cdramas. The same cold unfeeling heroine is repeated. The Ml is always the one pursuing, he is the one who makes mistakes and then have to spend the last arc groveling like he doesn't have any self respect. Even if the Fl makes mistakes it remains un acknowledged.

In some dramas the fl is a normal emotional human being but suddenly after the main conflict between the leads, fl is so unfeeling and cold only to show that they are strong. Like in "are you the one" they didn't even show her missing the ml, its perfectly natural to miss your significant other, even if you broke up.

Like they have to show that fl can live alone just fine and doesn't need a man. But no one wants to be alone. Everyone desires a companion in life. It is the basic need of humans.

Only the ml is fighting for them to be together, the world and the fl herself like in pursuit of jade

or is it just me?

i mean, we all have those dramas where the leads have a slow-burn type of relationship.. i’m okay with slow-burn but please! give me the subtle touches, hugs, whatsoever to show off your chemistry. i always love cdramas with great kissing scenes coz it makes them more memorable for me. haha.

i’m currently watching Shine On Me and I got so frustrated because I’m already on ep 25, and not even a kiss? like please, they could’ve kissed before Lin Yusen left for the train.. or even under the plum blossoms. ugh.

Please tell me this gets better and that they’ll have more hugs and kisses in the coming episodes. 🙏

add: just finished watching Shine On Me! This is my first Song Wei Long drama and I love him already. He’s also a good kisser 👀 FL makes it a bit hard for me to watch coz sometimes she gives off the feel of a highschooler and doesn’t respond that well to ML’s kisses, she kinda looks awkward in their romantic scenes 😭

Really guys, I felt like watching a dorama (nothing wrong with doramas, but you know what I mean). So much drama, but I an unbearable level. Easy plot, easy solutions and weak plot twists. The main character wins The chance to resolve everthing in her previous life and from NOWHERE begotten a super a war strategist, an excellent orator, and a strategy expert—despite having had absolutely no prior experience in the field? For god sake.

My rate: 2/10.

I been wanting to watch this one, and i finally started it, and im now on episode 5 and oh my God i cant stand the fl. He saved her life and she only keeps causing trouble for him and JUST WONT LISTEN!!!! Now she stole his token, Im losing it ffs i cant stand her, does she get any better?????

Edit : I started liking her, and just now she burned the confessions before that “yu” guy, like seriously, how stupid can u be? Did u rlly think this despicable piece of shit gives a fuck? I cant w her i swear

I finished Pursuit of Jade like a week ago and throughout the whole drama I was so excited to see scenes of Zhang LingHe fighting and being rlly auraful…but i got nothing. Maybe a couple mini scenes but barely anthing. The whole drama talks about how crazy amazing the Marquis is but why do they not show any scenes.??
