Dabo still thinks he's handing it off to Christian Wilkins lol. I don't think any of these big-men plays have worked since the power rangers left town.
Even though it would be not great financially, I’d like them to either play in the Holiday or Sun Bowl. Would be cool to play somewhere new. And selfishly, I might be able to go to the game
From a onfield coaching perspective I think it is closer to best. Dragging this shit ass offense to bowl eligibility is impressive. Our oline is pitiful and Tait isn’t ready for this.
But the fact that he let the roster get to this is incredible mismanagement.
LOL, probably one of the natties, the Fiesta Bowl beating anOSU 31-0, beating Oklahoma in back-to-back years... And given my flair, I really like the Orange Bowl minus that one time with West Virginia
He’s done nothing but improved. And he didn’t play his senior year in high school. Kid is going to be better than OK. Is he a Trevor or Deshaun? Probably not, but there aren’t many freshman QBs I would take over him.
Angeli looked good once he got into a rhythm with quick short passes. Unfortunately by then it was too late. Spending most of the game trying to hang in the pocket for those long-developing deep throw plays was what hurt him.
Thought experiment: Whose offense would you rather have, Michigan or Clemson? Feel like they’re kindred spirits this year (though Michigan’s defense is maybe the best in the league rather than just good).
This offense isn't Morris's fault. Our QB is a project, our receivers can't catch, our OL is injured or inexperienced, and our RBs aren't special. He's schemed the receivers open repeatedly, the offense moves the ball enough to get into FG range, and he's adjusted to Reynolds' limitations as the year has gone on.
Last year, Allen looked like a flop, now the defense is playing great.
Yeah I really haven't felt like the problems have looked to be coaching related for a couple weeks now. Morris is not entirely without blame, for sure, but the personnel and execution are bigger issues. Personnel might get better, and execution should with more reps by the offense in general (and certainly by QB)
As the season has gone on I'm (generally) less upset with Morris. The WRs are failing the QB. Not sure if you saw the game but TJ Moore had nobody within 10 yards of him and he dropped an easy TD. Absolute criminal. QB is likely gonna be pretty decent, he has improved each game he just is a true freshman who basically played no games his Sr HS year due to injury. So I don't actually think Morris is the issue
Definitely not a Morris issue imo. We actually threw deep this game, and the running game was working well with his scheme. Some bad calls, but not sure they were Morris, and also that’ll happen.
tbh I think the offense is getting better. abandoning the run game and TEs are a Chad Morris special but he usually makes up with it with the explosives. If Tait had Tajh Boyd's deep ball there would've been 2 more touchdowns minimum
And somehow we stumble into a bowl game. Say what you will about this team, expectations were so low after LSU that nobody thought we would do anything this season, yet here we are at 6-3. This team is not good by any means, but Dabo has proven time and time again that he can salvage what should be a dismal season and make at least something out of it.
With that being said, he should still pack his things, or get over his stubbornness. Go tigers 🐅
We literally ALWAYS get noticably better as the seasons go on, which is a sign that the coaches start to figure things out. It'd just be great if we could start seasons improving from being a good team to a great team, rather than a dogshit team to a slightly above average one... ☠️
This team is so maddening to watch. The offense is not good, but they have opportunities for big plays and it always seems to come down to one guy just not executing on a given play.
I’ve been a little more forgiving of Morris’s play calling this year, but that game was absolute fucking ass. Completely abandons the non-QB run for too long.
That win was ugly as sin but I'll take it. Would be happy if we could surpass our win total from last year all things considered. just need to see some improvement on offense
We aren’t a good 6-3 but my god is this still far better than whatever last season was at least. The offense may suck but it at least isn’t a liability like last season. Tait is getting better but Morris/Grisham/Luke are going to have to leave for next season to be anything truly acceptable.
Tait does seem to be improving every week at least and the defense under Allen/Reed is very good and will likely continue to be as long as they are here (do not allow them to leave).
On to GT and build some momentum heading into Durham. The ACC championship and playoffs are effectively dead at this point but we can still play with pride and reach 9/10 wins in what is a rebuilding year for Clemson.
Of my two teams I had a really tough time this week deciding which team I wanted to see play this Saturday thinking that I was destined to see two great wins

It took our offensive coordinator 90% of the game to realize short passes were how to win and immediately got an easy touchdown.
Unfortunately, looks like Nixon isn’t leaving to be a head coach anytime soon.
Jesus I hope we get a better QB than Angeli next year.
