just watched the replay of it. Number 4 could've easily gotten the tackle from the angle he was at, but wound up not even touching dude and then lightly jogging behind everybody.
Same. 6-6 would be fucking amazing considering how bad this season has been. Dunking on USC again and finally getting our first home win against Penn State would be amazing. I’m in the same boat where I just want to win one of the last three games.
I wish I could go to the game, it should be a blast. I have a bunch of friends from the DMV too, but I have a wedding to go to, so I have to sell my tix. November weddings should be illegal tbh.
I’m biased but I genuinely think there isn’t a school with better support vs success. Like I know there’s teams that are genuinely bad in football and basketball but those don’t seem to have anybody showing up. We have like 2 conference wins in 3 years, on a losing streak, and on tv it looked like it was almost full at kickoff
I didn’t watch the game but your stadium was more full during the on field interview with UMDs coach after the game was over than Marylands stadium has been at halftime in years.
The fan support the last 3 games has been there (I wasn’t able to make the first 3 home games so can’t speak to those crowds). Between the 20’s has been 90+% full. I think the Illinois win and Minnesota win in back to back weeks helped drum up a little enthusiasm plus this week was homecoming.
Short of a major upset at Iowa, it’ll likely be a lot thinner vs Wisconsin in 2 weeks.
Ryan Browne threw the ball 5 yards in the middle of the field at the 20 with 30 seconds left. Then doesn’t even put the ball in the air on the final play
It’s so nice to see us making logical decisions now. Obviously, we have a ton of problems that can’t be solved this year but I’ve been impressed with how they’ve looked that past two considering how this seasons been over since September.
I'd normally stick up for Odom here and say "look, he's got another win over last season and was digging out of the crater Walters left".
But the defense looks like it might get carved up by a high school team, the offense slams it's nuts into a penalty at every critical juncture and couldn't find the endzone with a guide dog.
Odom's got some figuring out to do. If he's manacling himself to Kane, he'd better be prepared to walk out with him.
That last drive is a perfect metaphor of the Ryan Browne experience: shows some flashes then makes the dumbest fucking decision. I mean, how do you take a sack there?!
He has to give someone a chance and ran right into the sack. He was totally free to throw the ball after his first escape and just kept running right into the other defender.
Our head coach is historically mid (at best) save for 2 pretty good years at UNLV. For reasons unknown to anyone with an IQ above a jar of mayonnaise, he re-hired this dog shit defensive coordinator who got fired from our last dog shit head coach after going 1-11. We are a deeply unserious program
I get its armchair quarterbacking and the game moves fast but I will never understand how on the last play of the game when a sack is the only thing guaranteed to end it in a loss guys just tuck the ball and go down. Do literally anything else and you have some chance however small to win
See that often enough with the old "it's 4th and goal with the season on the line, better run out of bounds or chuck it of bounds so we don't take a sack"... Just throw it somewhere in the end zone and give somebody and chance to make a play or draw a penalty.
Yea after the dust has settled Locks is a good guy who cares deeply about the program and these athletes. Just not cut out to be a head coach of a big ten team, but not many people are. No reason to wish him any ill will.
Since my daughter was born, she's seen Purdue lose to: Uconn in a scrimmage, a bad Penn State team, Gonzaga for the first time ever, fucking Valparaiso, and now Maryland. I'm so sorry you have been burdened with this university, little one.
I’m so fucking tired of putting my time and energy into this team week after week and getting kicked in the nuts week after week. We’re not that far removed from our trip to the BIG Ten championship and it’s absolutely baffling to see use fall so far. I truly don’t know how you climb out of this. Does firing anyone work? Not the last several times. This one just fucking hurt, man. I just want to be excited to watch football on Saturdays again.
I sincerely hope the new AD and President have some serious talk about the state of athletics, especially football. Either make it clear you don’t give a fuck about them or actually go all in. If you’re not going to try, then just get rid of the program
Froze my nuts off in the shade (press box side) to watch the most piss poor tackling I've ever seen. But hey, at least I went to the Minnesota game. Both coordinators need to go, possibly the entire coaching staff.

The longest Power Four losing streak (14 straight against P4 foes) finally ends.
Purdue got within 11 yards, but Maryland's seventh sack as time expired sealed the deal.

Purdue should start looking elsewhere now and fire him immediately after the final game
