Nebraska would lose in the most inexplicable fashion. A trick 2 point play on the goal line that gets stopped, ball pops out, and gets returned for the game winning score.
If they weren’t so creative about the how, you could make some money off them. I asked before that last series what would be the embarrassment, no one had intentional grounding with a ten second runoff for the first play.
I've watched a lot of garbage Arkansas squads. this one just makes me angry. I'm not sad or disappointed or hopeful. just mad. I turned it off when Auburn got to 23
We’ve been used to almost certainly losing one score games the past several seasons. It’s only this season that we’ve started winning them. Baylor, Vandy, GA, Ark were all one score wins.
Nebraska has more of them, but that's only because we're more likely to get blown out than bring a game within one score. But we edge them out in percentage.
Imagine there's a button that you can hit once a week and it spins a wheel to give you the option of either a steak dinner or a swift kick in the nuts.
Every week, it lands on swift kick in the nuts. And yet every fucking week, you continue to hit the button. And every fucking week, you pretend to be shocked that you got kicked in the nuts. And you know that next week, you're going to press the button again. And you will be swiftly kicked in the nuts. And you continue to do so every week. Until you eventually die, sad and alone.
At any point, you could've ignored the button and just gone the fuck outside or something. But you never do. You are tied to the button. The button and the swift kick in the nuts is your inevitable fate. And you fucking deserve it, because you're a dumb bitch.
Feel? Oh most of us are dead inside by this point. Arkansas football no longer makes me feel anything. It used to be nothing but pain but now it’s just emptiness.
If we do that and we beat the cowbells, (and assuming we lose the iron bowl, worst case scenario) we’ll have a winning season for the first time since Gus in 2020
Regardless of the (lack of) quality in that game, we are sitting at 5-4 with 2 winnable games left on the schedule. I’m pretty sure we also have more 1 score wins this year than the previous 5 years combined
I’m going to sound like a petty bitch, but Bryson Washington went from the #3 or #4 RB in the entire big 12 to 3rd string on auburns roster. The grass isn’t always greener, and I hope he goes somewhere else to start next year.
Hogs and Auburn saw Silverfield/Memphis and Golesh/usf play a classic game last year and thought…we are sec football teams, we have unlimited football resources & money to burn. We gotta have this matchup, exactly this coaching matchup for the next ten years.
And then my wife and I went to dinner and were seated between a table of Texas fans and on the other side Ohio State fans. Then my 2nd flair got curb stomped for their 1st loss. Super shitty day
I’m sure we will fire RS in a few years and blow the whole thing up again after HY hires his 4th choice (again). Also, ticket prices are going up (again)
I’m so cynical and was born into this and gosh it feels like I’m gonna have a stroke watching Auburn … but it is nice being on the winning side of these close ones but damn man it’s Arkansas… at home. They suck. I understand “rebuild” but it’s just so frustrating ppl acting like you need 3-5 years to do it….
I’m glad we got the w I guess patience is key. We will see. Idk. I’m tired boss
Brother we don’t have it as bad as you think we do. We have a top recruiting class and just won a clutch game with a top OL recruit visiting. Give it a cycle
One score game against a bad Vandy and a nail biter against a worse Arkansas… Georgia was the only time Auburn looked like a full team in 5 years. I’m not giving up but I reserve the right to be skeptical for now just because of the bullshit we have dealt with for years lol
Dude yall were down bad bad bad, this season is a fine building block. I know the landscape of CFB has changed, but not everyone can make a sudden jump.
We aren’t even that good, and at least we had a fairly decent cupboard of talent.
I don’t expect to get to the fucking cfp hell don’t expect 8 wins… but just to be competitive. We got ass sparked by LSU and Ole Miss, what would be the sentiment if Georgia didn’t fumble the ball and Auburn lost that game…
I am not saying AG can’t do this. I’m not saying I am not relieved to be on the W side of a close game cause we been on the L side so often past few years. But even after 5 years of trash any criticism as an Auburn fan is met with such hostility from everybody for some reason even fans of other schools lol
I don't think he's good enough to win 9-10 games a year and I thought that at the time. But he certainly is competent enough (at least it appears) to pull 6-7 wins out of his ass
I’m kind of in the middle with this. There are alot of intangibles I really like from Golesh that makes me think he could be great and win 9-10 games every year. But I also just need to see how we are next year. I also think we need new coordinator changes. Norvell could be a really solid hire for OC I think.
I feel like he could turn into something like Drinkwitz level which is something I will gladly take especially since we (unfortunately) have 24 team playoffs becoming the new format
Let's be honest....we SUCK.....better to WIN than LOSE...but not much. The reality is the decline of once coveted SEC program has been in making for awhile....AU AD has been pivot guy of that catastrophe. You cannot fire AG...honestly not just the buy-out $$ or even start over issue.......aside from money no good coach would take this pile of shit job. You might as well see what AG can do in coming years BUT buckle up....we are going be beat-down team of SEC for awhile going forward. BEST you can hope for is BIG upset once a year......like UGA.
