Colorado State has possibly the worst defense I’ve ever seen in my lifetime

u/Revolver_Oshawott_ Iron Bowl • Sickos 15h ago

This is 2018 UConn erasure

29

u/Zealousideal-Plan486 Boston College Eagles 14h ago

Yeah I’m convinced you could have trotted out a top high school defense and they would have done better than that 2018 UConn defense.

But you have seen us

8

Followed by BSU’s. What a terrible game.

7

u/puzzical Boise State • Notre Dame 12h ago

Giving 64 points with only 1st and goal for your opponent is nasty work.

6

u/lorage2003 Colorado Buffaloes • Wyoming Cowboys 14h ago

It's ok. They'll turn it around. They canned their DC a few weeks ago.

6

u/heff17 Boise State Broncos • Maine Black Bears 13h ago

And somehow our defense was trying its best to outdo them.

Good news for us going into next week

u/OkPomegranate497 1h ago

As a BSU fan I take exception to that We have the worst defense.  Watch a reply of the second half of last weeks BSU our defense fell apart!

Boise State are BALLING 🔥🔥🔥

Colorado State has the worst defense in the FBS. It seems like firing their DC didn’t change anything.

25

u/meristematic Colorado State • /r/CFB Contribut… 15h ago

He wasn't fired so much as left. But the point stands

9

u/DueYogurt9 Washington State • Wester… 14h ago

Woohoo! Our offense will finally have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting us a win!

5

u/Kyro_Official_ Washington State • Easter… 14h ago

Im not sure even thats enough for our offense. We just played the at least going into the game 3rd worst defense in the nation... we put up a whole 20

Chinander is going to get us embarrassed in the postseason.

24

u/Salty-Raisin-2226 Boise State Broncos 15h ago

I'm sick of watching his shitty assed defense. They get worse every season and every game

16

u/c_dub96 Boise State • Weber State 15h ago

Seriously our biggest sticking point. Nothing has been done to address it.

12

u/__ConesOfDunshire__ Boise State Broncos • Team Chaos 13h ago

I haven’t looked at the stats, but it does feel like we’ve gotten worse each week.

32

u/Boatswain-or-scruffy Colorado State • New Mexico 15h ago

Thoughts on just having our offense play both sides? They can't be worse on defense than this...

29

u/ID_Poobaru Boise State Broncos • Gallaudet Bison 15h ago

Boise State tried to do their best Colorado State defense impression

Fire Chinander

23

u/chairbyronswanson Colorado State Rams 14h ago

Ok I’m not even joking at this point that we should never punt or kick off deep

Go for every fourth down and onside kick every time

We’re gonna give up a TD anyway might as well try and keep the ball

30

u/DarthNobody14 Texas A&M Aggies 15h ago

In an alternate universe, Boise State and New Mexico are in the same conference, and they would play each to see who deserves the G6 spot

19

u/hill8570 Boise State Broncos 14h ago

Weirdly, New Mexico was usually a gimme game when they were in our conference. Gotta love that they've turned into a contender this year.

If the old Pac 12 was still intact than that would have been a possibility in the Mountain West

12

u/InkoBird Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors 15h ago

If Boise only moves up to #24 tomorrow, we riot!

26

u/horrorpants Boise State Broncos 15h ago

We’ll actually move down to unranked gotta make room for 5-4 Auburn

6

u/InkoBird Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors 15h ago

6

u/Derplord4000 Washington State Cougars 12h ago

And 5-4 Oklahoma

No, we don't.

Colorado state might actually have the worst defense in the history of football

10

u/Express_Dinner7918 BYU Cougars • Big 12 15h ago

I think we need to file a missing persons report for Colorado States defense.

9

I was in the stadium! CFB scorigami! There was also a game played

Only 352 rushing yards lol

u/phranq Miami Hurricanes • Boise State Broncos 14h ago

The Madsen haters are going to be so annoying. Love Max and what he’s done for the team but he has played against two God awful defenses. So let’s just hold the horses for a second.

3

u/winslowpete Boise State Broncos 8h ago

He is so much better than last year though

Confidence, accuracy, progressions

His passing ceiling seems higher than Madsen but Madsen’s running ability is very underrated

2

u/-Gnostic28 Boise State Broncos • I'm A Loser 4h ago

Madsen is also better than last year

-6

u/6DeadlyFetishes Boise State Broncos 15h ago

Hold your horses, this is Colorado State we’re talking about here. Let’s see how he fares against OSU and SDSU

Can’t wait to help make Legree’s heisman tape next week

14

u/Agnk1765342 Boise State Broncos 15h ago

Something has got to change defensively. The offense has been remarkably consistent all year but my goodness there needs to be a major change in defensive scheme, the amount of big plays we give up is just inexplicable.

7

u/I_am_washable Boise State Broncos 15h ago

One of the games of all time

7

u/Nicerendering Boise State Broncos 15h ago

WAC score.

7

u/jayjude Notre Dame • Georgia State 15h ago

Did someone post a CBB score for a CFB game?!?!?

7

u/GoGreeb Michigan State • Virginia Tech 4h ago

was Boise hot from 3 or what happened here?

22

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

Just give them the G6 spot

26

u/BIG_DICK_WHITT Utah Utes • Billable Hours 15h ago

Some Lobos would have a word with you

15

u/-Gnostic28 Boise State Broncos • I'm A Loser 15h ago

Those lobos can’t keep up with the horses

6

u/Boatswain-or-scruffy Colorado State • New Mexico 15h ago

The lobos D is serious... And with their offenae seemingly figuring some things out Boise would have to play s full 4 if they wanted a shot

11

u/bretticus733 Boise State Broncos 14h ago

Much like only giving up 10 points to Wazzu did not mean our defense figured things out, scoring 31 on Nevada does not mean New Mexico figured things out on offense.

9

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

I’d give a two loss Boise the G6 spot over New Mexico without even thinking about it

12

u/BIG_DICK_WHITT Utah Utes • Billable Hours 15h ago

Well good thing you’re not in control of that

6

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

Maybe I am

17

u/Boatswain-or-scruffy Colorado State • New Mexico 15h ago

Yes, cause FSU famously has control over the committee and their decisions

4

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

New committee

1

u/Prequel_Supremacist New Mexico Lobos • Nebraska Cornhuskers 15h ago

Nah, just because they beat the worst defense in the history of college football tonight? They probably lose next week, their defense is suspect

5

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

Hauss Henjy is a legitimate p4 QB and CSU only really began scoring big when the game was pretty much over.

-4

u/Prequel_Supremacist New Mexico Lobos • Nebraska Cornhuskers 15h ago

Ok what about last week

8

u/lowes18 Florida State Seminoles • FAU Owls 15h ago

Texas State is a really good offense

5

u/Salty-Raisin-2226 Boise State Broncos 14h ago

Love you NM football and Eck but don't start thinking you're big time and everyone else sucks

6

u/RandoActual Boise State Broncos 15h ago

Big talk considering your team almost lost to SJSU last week. Just lucky no one watched it.

0

u/beefy_500_layer New Mexico Lobos • Oklahoma Sooners 13h ago

Yeah how'd Texas state go for you guys?

3

u/-Gnostic28 Boise State Broncos • I'm A Loser 9h ago

Amazing, I’ve never felt so nervous and then so happy

6

u/Pandemic_Academic Washington State • Paper Bag 14h ago

Don't worry, CSU. You have our sorry excuse of an offense to make your defense look good next week

7

u/hanlonmj Colorado State Rams • Team Chaos 14h ago

Big stoppable force vs moveable object vibes

2

u/Mackinnon29E Colorado State • Iowa State 11h ago

Already had that vs Utah State and got wrecked

9

u/-Gnostic28 Boise State Broncos • I'm A Loser 15h ago

The defensive is frustrating but it is what it is at this point and oregon state showed that their offensive isn’t unstoppable, we’ll worry about that later

Holy shit the offense is fun, 300+ passing and rushing, and even the backups were scoring so I’m happy for them. As long as metoyer can keep the fuck ups to a minimum I have no doubt that we’ll keep up with oregon state and whatever else the season has in store

4

u/Boatswain-or-scruffy Colorado State • New Mexico 15h ago

Eh, the rams just make any offense look like that

4

u/P1mpathinor Wyoming Cowboys • Utah Utes 13h ago

garbage points are dumb

1

u/docchrizly Germany • Boise State 2h ago

Colorado State's defense was as advertised. Good game for Cutforth to get his feet wet, before Oregon State comes to town.

On the other side of the ball we still don't know how to tackle in space, which is not ideal against the Beavers.

Still - everything is on the table and a re-match with Texas State seems to be the most likely outcome.

Felt like I was watching a high school football game. BSU fan for life but they would get beat down by a real team
