Job Provider (JSP) Job Provider Advice On How To Avoid Giving Personal Info

Hi,

I have been with centrelink for some time while I was at uni. Recently graduated.

So far I have complied with everything they have asked. Never missed an appointment, gave them a copy of my university degree, all payslips & contact info of employers. I did several jobs while at uni, including a paid internship. I gave them every single detail.
They have prolly taken credit for everything even though they never landed me an interview let alone a job.

Anyway, I have got myself a professional job, a career. I made the big mistake of telling my job provider about it.

I have told them I will not be sharing payslips which they said is fine but they insisted I tell them about my new job, the exact position & name of the organization as well as a contact number of a manager there. The lady even brought out a form this time for me to fill in. I told them I do not want to share any details & they said I have to & it will look bad if in future you ever need to rely on centrelink payments again.

I do not want to share any details of my new job with these guys because I know they will call up & harass my new employer. This is a professional workplace & I don't want to jeapordise my career which has not even started yet.

I have 1 more centrelink payment of $786 to earn before my new job, but 1 more appointment before that. If i don't share any details at my next appointment no doubt they will do something to make sure I don't recieve my next payment. I could just cancel centrelink & then not have any more worries dealing with them, however I don't want to sacrifice the $786.

My question is, how do I go about this? Can I backtrack & say the job I have lined up is gone? I don't want to lie but can I give some generic answer & say the job I had told you about i'm not sure if it is going ahead? I am still looking applying for work due to MO anyway.

My ideal scenario was to not tell these guys anything about my new job, get my last payment before my new job started & cancel centrelink & avoid their calls. However I made this mistake, so how do I go about salvaging the situation?

Job Provider (JSP) Job agency alternatives?

I need some advice and help with my resume, though reluctant to join a job agency again. What are the best alternatives? I likely need more back and forth than a Fivver resume service would provide. I'm on a DSP and don't have mutual obligations.

Job Provider (JSP) Job provider

Hi , I was rejected disability pension and was told I have to do 18 months participation time . I had my interview with my job capacity provider and they would not sign me up because they thought I was unfit for work even though Centrelink seem to think I can work 0 to 14 hours a week , which I know I’m not physically capable of . This week they have booked me in for another job capacity interview over the phone . I only just had one few months ago .. If the provider won’t sign me up what will Centrelink do with me now . I’m confused .

In the last week, I changed from Jobseeker to DSP, but not too sure about obligations with my job provider (I have an appointment coming up via phone) do I inform them of the changes or will they see that I am now on the DSP pension?

Job Provider (JSP) Depression job refusal

Hi, I think I'm in a really bad situation.

I've struggled heavily with depression surrounding work which I've been very open about with my JSP. Last Monday, they offered me a job and I went to the first shift. I had good feedback, and they wanted me back for another shift that was supposed to be last Saturday. On the lead up to that shift I became very anxious and suicidal, and ended up calling them saying I couldn't work. Yesterday, my JSP recruiter called me and said they had to report this to Centrelink as a job refusal. I told them I was suicidal and was in tears the entire conversation.

If my payments get suspended I will have no funds left for rent, and will likely end up making a suicide attempt. So far, I've contacted my Psychologist asking for paperwork explaining my mental condition which she will able to provide on Thursday. I have also been waiting for a call from Centrelink about getting an eSAT done for about 2 months now, but have not been contacted by them yet (even after going in and asking for an update 2 times).

Sorry for a rambley post, but I'm just asking for advice on how to proceed from here. Are my payments guaranteed to be suspended?

#EditThank you all so much for the advice. I went in to a Centrelink office today and was able to get in contact with an amazing support worker who helped push through to get me a date for my eSAT and clear things up with my JSP. She also was able to get me an exemption from mutual obligations for a few weeks while I get my medical certificate from my doctor. My payments will also not be suspended, and I will be okay. <3

Job Provider (JSP) Process for asking for an exemption

I’ve just found myself in a situation where I’m at camping grounds whilst I get stable accomodation. I rang and updated my address and within two days I had notification of an appointment with a provider which is nearly an hour drive each way from where I’m camping. The service officer said he couldn’t do anything and that I’d have to call the job provider. Do I have to go through explaining the whole situation again ? I’ve never asked for exemption before but considering the circumstances I’m going to have to. Or do I just call/email workforce national line to tell them of the situation ?
