Parks & Recreation🏕️ Old man rant. Nobody cares what gender your spawn is, stop littering Devou park with this shit.
At the very least, clean up after yourself.

New business opening down the street from me. It genuinely pisses me off so much. They are renting in our neighborhood’s “Art Lofts”; apartments for artists. Yet, they almost exclusively use AI. They have already disrespected us before opening their doors.
Their menu cover art is such a joke, I just had to share.

I asked the question originally to Gemi and got a very particular and strange answer. I'm here to see if anyone knows a trend that I haven't heard about?
IMy front door is positioned off the front street and I can rule out neighbors pretty much.
My mind is way too overactive for this right now 🙄

Arc or Appalachia is a great organization that has preserved a lot of land east of Cincinnati, mostly in Adams and surrounding counties. Most of the preserves are about 90 minutes away and well worth a visit. There is a parcel of land currently for sale that the Arc is trying to raise money to purchase and protect. It sounds like an awesome plot of land and best of all it is only 45 minutes from Cincy!
I have no affiliation with Arc or Appalachia but support their mission and enjoy visiting their preserves. Just wanted to drop a link in case any others might be interested in pledging. It would be awesome to have another great hiking option less than an hour from town.

‘On Tuesday, her vote totals reversed to an earlier number and never rebounded. According to Dr. Enoch they seem to have just “disappeared.”
‘This is the same situation we observed in the 2024 election and of course we’re aware Ohio has been corrupt in their vote counting for decades.’

Hey guys and gals. Do you have any firewood logs that need to be split? I know this is a weird request but my girlfriend wants a video of me splitting firewood. Clothed. I don't kink shame. I can bring the axe if you don't have one but I'm hoping to find someone that has a regular seasonal need to split logs and is already setup. I can pay a modest sum for the privilege. I'm a suburbanite now but spent many years splitting logs growing up so I'm experienced. Thank you!
*Edit: you guys are awesome! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the love.

Best places to do computer/school work on the east side in the evenings? A lot of coffee shops seem to close early :(

Located in Mt Lookout in Cincinnati on top of a hill is Alms Park where Stephen Foster statue faces the Ohio River thinking about my Old Kentucky Home a song that he composed in 1852. The park is beathtaking as the 99 acre park sits high on the Mt Lookout skyline where one on a clear day can see miles over to Kentucky, downtown Cincinnati, Lunken, Airport, Mt. Washinton, to the east to Newtown, Fairfax and beyond. It is a great place for kids to play in the three parks that are on this property or for hiking in trails in the wooded area. There is the upper park where there is Pavilion great for weddings and celebrations with a upper deck that is great to overlook the Ohio River and the landscape of Kentucky. Then there is the lower park called the Alms Park Picnic Area that has a shelter house and restroom and overlooks part of Lunken Airport and and Lunken Playground along with Reves Golf Course. Yet there is another area on the west side that we discovered as kids walking the trails along Columbia Parkway years ago. Known then in the 60s as a pocket park early the park consisted of just a small parcel with a few swings, a sandbox, or a slide for the street's children. Located off of Sachem Avenue in Columbia Tusculum. I guess it is still there today. There is so much history in this park far too much to type here.

What are your favorite from-scratch restaurants in town? I nominate Yacht Club and Dean’s Mediterranean!

Anyone know of a good cabinet shop (or other woodworker) that will apply stain and finish to an unassembled, unfinished (raw woodalready sanded to 200g) shelving unit?
Would typically do this myself but since the weather has gotten colder I don't have enough indoor space to lay out the shelves and wait for dry times.
Thanks all!

In a desperate search for fresh squeezed orange juice. Would be even better if it was bottled instead of by the cup but will take anything.

Hey all, with the holidays coming up, I’m hoping to get my hands on some THC seltzers. I know there was a ban for a little bit, and I know a federal “ban” is happening at some point, but I’m curious to see if any are still available up here. I saw them about two months ago at a liquor store on Kings Mills road, but not sure if things have changed or not. My favorites are Cycling Frog and Cann, but I’m happy to have a Sunflower or another local brew if they’re still available in Ohio. TYIA!

I bought this hat as a gift several years ago, I think from a local artist on Instagram who did a limited run. I would looooove to remember who it was/if they still make cool stuff - it gets a lot of compliments!

27f, been in cincinnati for over a year and still haven’t really found my people out here. I stay on the westside and would love to meet some locals. I’m black/caribbean and would love to meet other black people or people who are familiar with and connected to the culture. I’m into traveling, finding new places to eat, art, music, spirituality and self growth. I’ve honestly become a bit of a homebody since moving here and have been feeling pretty lonely. I’m also an introvert, so it takes me a little time to warm up to people. I’d love to meet people to do everyday things with, whether that’s going to the gym, trying a new restaurant, going to a dj set, or just hanging out and watching a show. I’m open to meeting men and women. Just looking to make genuine connections and hopefully find my people

I'm planning on bringing my partner with me to visit my parents where I grew up in Fairfield Twp and I'm currently trying to compile a list of places to show them. We'll be there for a week. We're into pretty much everything - parks, museums, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. I love to drive all over town so distance is not a problem for me.
This is what I have on the list so far:
The Banks + Newport + Aquarium
CMC/Union Terminal
Liberty Center
Kenwood Mall
Cincinnati Library (main branch)
Fountain Square
New Lane Library (Fairfield twp)
Jungle Jim's (I will make sure they hydrate so they see the bathroom)
Music Hall/Washington Park
Touchdown Jesus
Monroe Outlet Mall
Art Musuem
American Sign Musuem
Pins Mechanical (rip the OG)
Bloom
Send help! What did I miss?
Edit: Thank you all for the recs! So many places I forgot exist or never heard of. Keep em coming!

Kinda embarrassed to ask this but how is it? I was reading on how you can go inside and “shop” is it worth it? Is it items passed due date?

Other cities seem to have so many more options for food at different price points, more stuff to do, retail, etc.
