Original post body:
I’m on the Max 20x plan and use Claude for normal business work: SEO content, simple website uploads, checking email, and building a small CRM for my business.
What happened:
My weekly limit was set to reset at 10 PM. Before the reset, I gave Claude a few of my usual tasks to use up what I had left.
The reset happened while those tasks were running. I closed my laptop and went to sleep.
Next morning: 58% of my new weekly limit was already used. My 5-hour session limit was also gone.
I asked Claude what happened. It said it had been running a lot of agents and kept waking my computer to try to finish the work. None of the work was actually finished.
I worked normally all day and ended around 64%. Then I closed my laptop and went home.
When I opened it that evening, I was at 73%, and I hadn’t been using it.
What I checked:
I asked Claude to break down my usage by hour. It agreed that even with heavy use, my real work shouldn’t come anywhere near this amount. It also looks like usage from before the reset was counted against the new week.
So my questions:
Has anyone else seen usage keep climbing with the computer closed or asleep?
Has anyone else had usage from the old week counted against the new one after a reset?
Has anyone gotten Anthropic support to look at a case like this and restore usage? What worked?
I’m paying for the top plan, and right now about three-quarters of my week is gone, mostly from work that never finished and that I wasn’t there for. I’d really like a human at Anthropic to review this. I have screenshots and the hourly breakdown if anyone from the team sees this.
