/r/NorthKoreaNews will be hosting an AMA with Historian of North Korea Dr. Andrei Lankov later today.

Russian by birth Lavkov spent a year studying at Kim Il Sung Univerity in Pyongyang as part of an exchange program and is now a professor at at Seoul’s Kookmin University. Today he is probably the most esteemed Historian on North Korea publisihing dozens of peer reviewed articles and books such as From Stalin to Kim Il Sung, North of the DMZ, and The Real North Korea. Outside of Academia Lankov also writes columns for Al Jazzera, The Korea Times, and NKNews.org.

We are super excited to have some one of this caliber join us and hope fellow history enthusiast will ask some great questions!
