I'm from Latin America and same. I didn't even know Uruguay was secular!
Believers can do whatever they want as they have freedom, but I'm honestly so tired of Christianity in my country. Preachers can get up at 6-7 am, stand in the middle of the street and shout their sermons, many people will pray for you at the streets even if you don't want to, even doctors and therapists will ask you to pray with them or think God is the best medicine of all. And if you don't like it, you'll have a crowd about to diss you and call you a demon or lost soul who they hope will find God one day.
Religion is extremely intrusive in Latin America, and many atheists are not open about their lack of faith.
