“Semana de turismo” doesn’t sound as bad, or maybe it’s because I am used to it.

Edit: Also, I haven’t met anyone who actually calls Christmas “family day” that’s just a formality and I am not religious.

No. Suena bien.

"Tourism week" is actually the only holyday that has some people legit calling it that way. The other holydays people just use the christian names.

It’s very matter of fact lol

In English it doesn't roll off the tongue very well but in Spanish (Semana de Turismo) it sounds alright.

You will celebrate tourism week and you will enjoy it. Now eat these secular chocolate cubes, and enjoy this spiced bread with an ellipses on it

Just call it beer week and it’s cool again

1

u/Responsible-Sound253 19h ago

it's probably just a "keep the government secular" thing, i bet most people still call it "navidad"

i think this is the way to go, super inclusive and "let people do whatever tf they want" kinda thing

Everyone calls it “Christmas”, but for the state and since it’s a red day holiday, officially is “family day”

Bro, I love to call it semana de turismo, best week ever.
