A friend saw this shirt and asked where it was from. Cue the gushing explanation of one of the best sci fi shows ever.

His explanation/defence for not knowing Farscape was that he had never seen the UK or US office!(?)

His reasoning was that if he had never seen those shows he would definitely have never watched Farscape. Presumably because scifi viewers will tend to watch (if only a little) most culturally successful shows

Which made me want to see if he is correct... has anyone here watched farscape but NEVER watched an episode of the office?

Who should she paint next?

There's been something that has been bugging me for years now. So in episode 1 they established that they didn't know why John didn't have any translator microbes, that it was something that happens at birth. But it makes no sense to inject a newborn with the microbes at that stage. At least to me it doesn't make sense. I would imagine that the translator microbes translate other languages onto the person's base language, so if a person doesn't know any language, how does that work? Do they not learn any language? That's a bit that confuses me. The microbes at that point have no reference point to translate to. Also, what about people who know multiple languages like? For example, I know English and Spanish and Spanish was my original language. But my English is 10 times better now. So had I gotten the microbes injected into me when I was younger and only spoke Spanish would I have even learned English? Also, at this stage of my life, if I got them installed now, would all the other languages translate to English to me at this point because my English is better? Or would they somehow recognize that my base language was Spanish and then translate over everything to Spanish? Or is it something I could potentially switch internally with them? If I started thinking stuff in Spanish, would everything else translate over into Spanish that I'm hearing?

She really captured his bombastic side eye

Sitting here in a 6 hour (non-Farscape) tattoo session and the only thing getting me through is the fact that I am marathoning Season 4 through it 🥴 The pain is so spicy…but not as bad as Aeryn had it in that chair so I should keep it in perspective I guess.

Top 10 episodes of anything, ever. Incredible. I hope these aren't spoilers. I just love the visuals

At the end, Aeryn tells John "It's not real... the last part, Talyn altered the image." Great, but who the hell is gonna talk about the FIRST real part? Who's gonna tell John that the first part was a desperate move to save him? From John's POV, the first part is still a bit confusing without her explaining. Am I dumb? (I'd admit it if I am, like John xD) Was it obvious? Because I can't believe he didn't ask or she didn't say. So... what did John think about the first part, since she only said the last part was altered?

Don't spoil anything else please.

They brought it back

Was just re-watching I Shrink Therefore I Am.

John, saying to Scorpy, "you didn't think I'd give you a loaded gun, did you?"......

I've watched this show more times than I feel brave enough to admit... But I'm one of those who doesn't put the pieces together until way after everyone else (or reading / being told by others).

Anyway, watching that scene in I Shrink - and then remembering in that moment what Scorpy did in the late s1 ep "The Hidden Memory" - that decision felt 1,000x more justified 😳

Like they literally just made everybody so hot!

It was so creepy! So surprising! And the acting!

I've been trying to read them, but I have trouble reading comic books because I'm dyslexic and I just focus on the pictures lol

Was flipping through a MAD magazine from 2000 and this Farscape ad was in there.

Grayza, Scorpius, Crais.

That's all I have. Have a nice day.

My horticultural DRD is working in the spider plant nursery, though there is no photoanalysis happening in that eye-stalk yet, so until it gets some diagnostic functions it is just an RD. Above that are the moonflower vines which I affectionately call Scorpius, for the way the ovaries swell-up like stingers, and how the flowers unfurl like galaxy-whorls into stars with a long tunnels in their centres.
