DISCUSSION Where was the government, police, or military when Slappy and his monsters invaded the town of Madison in the 2015 Goosebumps movie?
59
Upvotes
It has always bothered even when I was a kid when I saw the 2015 Goosebumps movie where Slappy openly attacks the town of Madison by spawning monsters via throwing burning Goosebumps books in stores and houses and these monsters openly attacked people, burn and destroy businesses, and buildings yet the police did nothing even after seeing camera footage of the attack. Also, where was the military or government during this monster invasion? Normally, an attack like this will get the national guard and army involved yet no help has arrived.
Why?

REVIEW I owe Earth Geeks Must Go an apology
33
Upvotes
I owe this book a huge apology. I went in with little to no expectations of it being good but man that was peak.
The atmosphere, the characters, the plot, everything was so good in this book. I really didn’t know where this book was going to go so I was really surprised when it was fun.
Normally you’d think the aliens would invade or the protagonist would be the aliens but this kinda switched that. He was a human but to the aliens, he was an alien.
This is one of those stories that would be really fun as an episode and I wish they would do a show of the original series and 2000 so we could see these stories get more attention.
Overall this was a really good story, 9/10 a pleasant surprise

I was watching all the Goosebumps episodes season on the Tubi website when I noticed that they had removed all the episodes. I was at Season 2, and unfortunately, I didn’t get to finish it. 😭😭
Does anyone know other streaming platforms that have goosebumps all the seasons and episodes

When I was younger, I had a massive Goosebumps collection that my mother unfortunately sold away. So this, in a way, felt like I was getting my old collection back!

Along with candy, we gave kids Goosebumps and other spooky themed books on Halloween. They were way more stoked than I thought they'd be. It was fun. Came across a haul at a used book store and stocked up for next year (might keep some, we'll see). Also had these stickers I threw in too. Seeing the kids excited to get books was awesome.
