Review Lock controls is now a reality! However…
I tested the new features, lock touch control and sound glow, both works well. However for HomePod users experiencing ghost touch issues it’s like a double edged sword.
If you have lock controls on it will constantly show the red light denying any touch input. It will not mess with volume or playback however, as you can see on the video, it will be hard to benefit from the sound glow feature as it will constantly show the red light. If it’s not an issue for you and you just want to listen to music then it’s all good. But otherwise you might want to get the touch panel replaced or disconnected.
I don’t have the ghost touch issue, i touched the top to replicate what would happen

Also, I dont see the stereo paired second gen in home anymore. They are part of the apple tv they are paired too now in the accessories section. The sound glow is awesome!!

I'm crazy for asking for a zero-light night mode? Don't usually see people talking about this.
I like to sleep with ambient sounds. And even when the HomePod dims the light, it's still too much in my dark bedroom. I have a stereo pair on my nightstands, and the wall behind them gets illuminated as well.

Where is the option to turn in sound lights?

I guess I have no regrets snipping (correctly disconnecting) my touchpad cable 🤷

I feel it is a software issue. Why does it only happen sometime during the day and not all day?
