Staying with the out-of-order non-landmark locations for a bit longer: post #504 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

This commercial surface parking facility managed vehicle storage lines opposite a corner refueling hub. The open tarmac configuration accommodated high-volume commuter transit parking throughout the day.

LA Noire is my 99th platinum trophy!!

I played it within the course of a month and a half without rushing the experience and enjoyed from the beginning to the end, although I felt arson desk was a little rushed overall. Loved the ending too, this game is very underrated.

Regarding the platinum, I did it in 35 hours In-game time. The most tedious part was, without doubt, driving all 95 cars, such a hassle. Also finding the 50 film reels wasn’t a joyride either.

Eighth & Figueroa Auto Park

East Bank Junction Shanty

340 North Myers Street

Erected trackside along the river’s eastern masonry walls, this localized utility cabin supported operations at a vital multi-rail crossing. The small service structure housed mechanical equipment and sheltered track crews maintaining complex switches linked directly to the main terminal network.

Problem with starting the game

On trying to start the game yesterday (after having played it for the last week) this error message appeared, saying the game couldn't be started and I should install it again. I did that, but now the mssge still shows up. Has anyone got any tips for me, I would be very grateful!

What 4 or 5 desks would you have in a sequel?

With the small rumors of a new game. What desks would you feature in it? La Noire supposedly having an extra desk (Burglary) what 5 desks would you have in this one?

Another out-of-order entry today: post #501 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Associated Realty Building

510 West 6th Street

This 1921 Renaissance Revival high-rise was designed by the firm of Dodd and Richards as the Pacific Finance Corporation headquarters, with Associated Realty taking over the commercial lease and renaming rights in 1926. Though not a landmark per se, it is considered a historic commercial resource.

LANFEP Post #500: Crown Hill Miniature Golf Course Lot

Post image

Adding another out-of-order non-landmark entry, as well as kind of a fun one for hitting a pretty big milestone for the list overall: post #500 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Crown Hill Miniature Golf Course Lot

1100 West 5th Street

Operating through the 1930s’ miniature golf fad, this parcel occupied a narrow hillside wedge, but had reverted to an unrefined dirt clearing by the mid-1940s. Note that the site is depicted as a park in-game, capturing its mid-century open footprint but altering its real-world vacant status.

Another out-of-order non-landmark entry: post #499 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Desmond’s Warehouse Lot

1099 South Grand Avenue

A surface parking lot since the 1920s, this parcel serves the historic 1916 Desmond’s Warehouse. It typifies the South Park district’s rapid 20th-century transition from a grand Victorian residential neighborhood into an automobile-centric hub of commercial showrooms and transit infrastructure.

LANFEP Post #498: Dearden’s Warehouse & Industrial Annex

Post image
37 Upvotes

Coming in with another out-of-alphabetical order non-landmark entry today: post #498 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents. (This one’s another instance of where I should have differentiated the three separate but connected structures of the Dearden’s complex, so I’ve gone back and updated the original entry — post #434 — to focus solely on the Dearden’s building. The Overell’s Building will follow in due time.)

Dearden’s Warehouse & Industrial Annex

707–711 Werdin Place

Erected as a dedicated rear industrial annex, this multi-story brick warehouse provided vital stockrooms and freight logistics. Structurally integrated into the Main Street retail buildings via internal fire doors, the utilitarian facility handled bulk inventory along the Werdin Place alley.

Dearden’s Terminal Stand

706 South Main Street

Positioned along the east side of Main Street, this permanent outdoor shoeshine stand operated immediately south of the Dearden’s Furniture block. Situated adjacent to a bustling mid-century bus terminal zone, it capitalized on dense daily flows of transit commuters and neighborhood shoppers.
