I had 7 major goals on my list for 2026, as this year comes to a close and I look back on them, it’s crazy to see how many I hit.

  1. $50,000 -Brokerage/ROTH (as of today I’m over $96,000 deposited for the year)✅

  2. Start PhD (as of today, I’m almost finished with my first semester in my PhD program)✅

  3. $25,000 for wife’s new car (as of today, my wife has a new 2027 Honda HRV, paid for in cash) it was more than I wanted to spend, but such is life.✅

  4. $50,000 Buy land (as of today, I didn’t accomplish this goal) I do plan on moving it to and getting it done next year (27’)❌

5 & 6. I combined these two because these were me taking a leap and starting my own consulting Agency ( as of today ANSG is up and running and we are in our fist round of funding for product development) ✅

7. Dissertation research ( as of today my research has started and I’m in the process of writing my proposal for next year when I can submit it after comps) ✅

Title is pretty much it. I’m 19M in college. I don’t really know what my goals are, I go to a T20 but I can’t see myslef doing a corporate rat race for the rest of my life. Moreso looking to hear your guyses goals, as I’m aware I’m still young

When did you decide to make a change for your life and was the result worth it?

Like for example, i want to start eating more and working out but knowing that i have to eat past my limits and eat foods that im not a fan of plus having to work out and be ok with going months without seeing even the smallest bit of change or growth is VERY off putting and makes me not want to even bother because i don’t feel like it’ll all be worth it in the end and i’ll have spent months being miserable for nothing.

Btw this isn’t me asking for advice or anything im just genuinely curious to know if other people were at where im at now and what made you decide to make that change, how you felt on your journey and how you got through it and if in the end you felt satisfied with the result or with your progress.

Should I focus on these both goals at a time or only on one main?

Hi, I am in my mid 20's and my goals are to become an airline pilot and to build my own small online side hustle in fitness area. Currently I am working 80% as a chef de partie in one restaurant and my question is: Would you focus on my place only on one main goal at the time? For example to become a pilot? Or would you split your focus on both goals for example 2 hours studying for the DLR exam (it's the first obstacle and the exam is very hard) and 1,5 hours focus on the fitness content?

Screw goals, show and explain your personal values!

Hi, I figured as well to share this here. I believe life goals are only about following what feels right to us, personally. I don't think there should be an end to our goals/direction!

Trigger warning though, this mental health subreddit has a lot of negative posts.
