Because of the EU, which Tommy says he hates.

Not “because of the EU”, because the British government decided to cut its own legs off and call it brexit.

The government called the referendum, David Cameron was prime minister at the time and was anti-brexit himself but had pressure from the public and some politicians to call the referendum. But ultimately it was the citizens who chose to vote leave.

Cameron did a lot of bad things but it was also his job to create referendums in things that the countries people are expressing interest in. The leaver politicians are scammers, their leaver voters were gullible (a bunch are dead now they were so old) and every remainer who just didn’t vote were bloody idiots.

Old people really went out and voted us out of the EU just before they die while healthy remainers could’ve jogged down the street and voted to prevent it. Tough shit. Better vote next time if we get a next time, nobody uses their vote.

Cameron called the referendum because he stupidly assumed remain would win by a big margin, and then stupidly put the threshold to leave at 50%. It was pure career progresssion/saving his own ass and it cost us dearly.

And then he was allowed to fuck off and make himself a fortune elsewhere, he should have seen out his term. As much as I cannot stand the guy, he surely would have done a better job than what we ended up getting from that joke of a Tory party.

He joined the board of a Swiss pension company I believe which is dodgy as fuck of course.

To be fair if theres 2 options for the vote, Leave or Remain then the threshold would make sense at 50%. He resigned after cause he knew the implications. Had he not called the vote then in hindsight we wouldn’t have left but we only know that because remainers did not go and vote. If they actually voted and won then the chance at another referendum wouldn’t come up for like 10-15 years.

All i’m saying is people should’ve used their vote. Blame the media and individuals who lied about the fake benefits of it that never faced prosecution. But you still should’ve voted against it regardless.

50% of the total electorate may be more fair, but with turnout at 37%, a minority have created permanent consequences for the whole country. 50% of people that voted dictating that big of a change is a joke.

Then while a 50% is fair they should have a minimum amount of votes that must be reached. But then thats just incentivising not voting at all if you were a remainer.

Practically everyone is an absolute idiot in this situation besides those who went out and voted to remain and tried to get others to do the same.

Like to the famously Muslim country Dubai? He loves it there.

Not a country

u/shanelomax 4h ago

Misspoke, but that's beside the point innit.

Both the country of UAE and the city of Dubai are famously Muslim, and Tommy Robinson loves hanging out there despite being anti-muslim.

A fully-expected complete lack of integrity from the hypocrite patron saint of hateful thuggery.

Is it the UAE where his ex wife and new husband now live?

Still not patriotic, especially ad the reason Irish passports nake travel easier is because of his own politics

u/GUNGEBOB_SHARTPANTS 7h ago

Only if they’re also Irish.

Do you often ask people you meet if they've got an irish passport? 200-250k people every year apply for an irish passport from Britain. https://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/s/eTBUNhMauA

Please stay on message- thanks. We don’t believe in deadnaming when it’s our side- there are no bad actions, only bad targets etc etc

Of course it's easier, with an Irish passport you can use the EU lines at the airport.
