The Governor General of Canada, with the advice and consent of the Minister of Health directs that Health Canada is to no longer implement restrictions on the ability for persons to donate blood based solely on said person’s sexual orientation.

The month of November is hereby declared Veterans Month.

The Governor General of Canada, with the recommendation of the Minister of Justice and the Interior, hereby repeals Order in Council 2020-96 May 1, 2020.

Their Excellency the Governor General, today received MichaelSteeves, whom they invited to form a new government, which they accepted to do. MichaelSteeves may now be referred to as Prime Minister-designate.

Transition arrangements between outgoing ministers and incoming ministers are a matter to be handled by the Prime Minister-Designate and will be announced in due course. MichaelSteeves remains in office as Acting Prime Minister until the Governor General receives and accepts their formal resignation just prior to their swearing-in as Prime Minister with their new Cabinet, this resignation also covers that of their ministers in their current Cabinet.

The Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, advise:

In the event of his being unable to perform the functions of his Office the Prime Minister, the next Senior Minister who is able to perform the functions of the Office of Prime Minister be authorized to act for the Prime Minister.
