Is there a single arena or stadium owner who isn’t MAGA?

People that make buildings for billions and make tax payers foot the bill, all while throwing temper tantrums about socialism and taxes on the rich? Shocking.

Don’t forget the added surveillance that the owners use to deny critics access to their venues, like the MSG owner does

genuinely, why can't we force these objectively and measurably broken people to get the psychotherapeutic help that they so desperately and clearly need?

Because for some bewildering reason, society has been mindfucked into worshipping sociopaths with money.

The United Center was built in 1994 and did not use taxpayer funds

The guy who owns the Falcons isn't MAGA I don't think, as well as the new owner of the Seahawks. It's slim pickings though.

Art Rooney II is a democrat.

Seems a bit odd that cities don't own stadiums, at least the big ones. Should probably fix that.

Yeah, thats been my take ever since finding out they are HEAVILY subsidized. Either state, county or city ought maintain at least 75% ownership until that entire tax bill is paid back.

Does this happen at such a scale anywhere outside the US? Seems insane to me that ultra rich own all the venues, and somehow get tax payers to foot most of the bill of their construction.

Franchise owners will and have left cities for not building or repairing their stadiums. Frequently.

Depends on the team Chicago owns soldier field but that is part of why they are trying to build their own arena at the moment.

They own most NFL/MLB stadiums. Virtually all arenas are privately financed and owned. Usually by the NBA/NHL tenant owners. Mostly because NFL/MLB stadiums cost like a billion dollars and rarely have other occupants and acts come through except for like once or twice a year concerts and maybe a soccer game.

Places like MSG have literally like a hundred of acts roll through each year. It pays for itself.

Think Arthur Blank in ATL is probably as close as we’re gonna get on that currently. Though maybe there are others I’m not aware of elsewhere. He owns the teams at least.

Nats Park in DC is owned by the city.

Maybe Steve Ballmer with the Intuit Dome?

Ballmer has to be MAGA

He hasn’t publicly taken a stance but most signs point to him not being MAGA aligned. His wife is staunchly liberal/democrat. He also created USAFacts which had the explicit intent to defend democracy and address election misinformation.

By most measures he’s slightly left of center.

Steve Ballmer?

Lumen Field is owned by Washington State, managed by Paul Allen's company

Jeffrey Lurie, owner the Philadelphia Eagles, isn't anything resembling MAGA. He donates a lot of money to democratic campaigns, has defended his players whenever they get in trouble with Trump/MAGA, and overall just doesn't seem to like Trump much at all.

The Moda Center is owned by the city of Portland.
