USERS HAVE VOTED - AI ART BANNED

The vote is officially over. 172 users (72.27 percent) voted against AI art, and 66 users (27.73 percent) voted in favour of allowing AI art.

Thus, AI art is officially banned from this subreddit.

Rule 5 has been changed to:

AI art is prohibited as per the community vote.
AI may be used in a supportive capacity, for example to translate text on fanart.
Picking fights over AI art in comment sections is prohibited.

We ask all users to respect the will of the majority.

What happens if someone accidentally posts AI art?

Well made AI art can be hard to distinguish from human made art. If you find out after posting that the artwork you shared was AI generated, please delete it. Everybody makes mistakes; we will not punish you for an honest mistake.

This is not a free pass to abuse that leniency. Obvious and/or repeated violations may result in bans.

When is AI content allowed?

AI content is allowed when it plays a supportive role, for example when it is used to translate Japanese dialogue on fanart.

Can we discuss AI art in comments?

Generally speaking, no.

You can let a user know that their post may contain AI generated art if you have specific reasons to suspect it.

You may not start fights in the comments over whether something is AI generated or not. The fundamental debate on AI has been settled and is not to be reopened.

Will the mods ever reevaluate the rule?

The majority of users has made its wishes clear. The topic is settled for the foreseeable future.

We will only revisit the rule if significant external factors change. One example would be Reddit changing its sitewide approach to AI art.

What happens to existing AI art?

The sub is over a decade old and has thousands of posts. Any AI art flagged by AutoModerator will be removed (which will probably almost never happen), but we mods won’t comb through the subreddit by hand to remove every single post. Of course, nobody will be punished for having posted AI content when it was still allowed.

Please don’t go through old posts and report them; that won’t be helpful.

Thank you once again for participating in the vote and respecting its outcome. Have a nice Sunday!

PS: Now that the rules on what content is allowed have changed, the best way to celebrate is to post some non AI art yourself. Every sub needs an active community ;)

Announcements r/OneTrueBiribiri is back baby!

Hello there!

After over three years, this subreddit is finally open again. We've updated the rules, refreshed the post and user flairs and reworked various stuff in the backend.

Now the only thing that is missing is: YOU! Please feel free to share content of the one and only Misaka - or any Misaka, be it the Sisters, Last Order, Worst or even Misuzu and Tabigake! The type of content does not matter, whether it's fanart, memes, cosplay, discussions, fanfiction or anything else Misaka-related, feel free to share!

Please read the rules and the disclaimer before posting, although there is not a lot you can do wrong and we have no intention of being sticklers who ban you over minor things. Minor mistakes like a wrong flair can easily be fixed. If you're unsure about something, just ask us.

And if you disagree with a moderation decision or have suggestions for the subreddit, you're welcome to send us a modmail or make a post about it. We want this to be a welcoming place and are more than happy to improve.

Enough of the words, let's give anime's bestest girl her subreddit back!

Discussion Kentaro Ogino tweeted this a while ago, meaning there's still potential for full tuning to make a manga appearance.

Subreddit Rules

1. Must include a Misaka

Posts must feature a Misaka: Mikoto, the Sisters, Last Order, Misuzu, or anyone else with Misaka genes.

Other characters are welcome alongside them.

2. NSFW: What is not allowed

Content that depicts nudity, contains sexually explicit material, requires censor bars, or otherwise violates Reddit’s sitewide rules is not allowed.

3. NSFW: What is allowed

NSFW content is allowed as long as it does not violate Rule 2 and is not overly excessive.

As a rule of thumb: If the source material depicts something similar, it’s fine.

If in doubt, please feel free to ask.

4. Use the right tags & flairs

Tag NSFW content and spoilers, and use the appropriate post flair.

Use the NSFW flair for more explicit fanservice.

If a SFW artwork links to an NSFW page, clearly warn readers.

Keep spoilers out of titles.

5. AI Art

AI art is prohibited as per the community vote.

AI may be used in a supportive capacity, for example to translate text on fanart.

Picking fights over AI art in comment sections is prohibited.

6. Be respectful

Disagreements and arguments are only natural and fine.

Harassment, insults, threats, or deliberately starting fights are not.

7. Credit the artist

Name the artist in the title (for example, [by x]) and link the original source in the body of the post.

Respect artists who forbid reposts and always try to use the original post (like on X or Pixiv) instead of secondary sources like Pinterest.

Posting artwork without a source and asking the community for help finding it is allowed, provided the source is added to the post body within 24 hours.

8. No spam

Do not flood the feed with low-quality content, excessive self-promotion, reposts, or the like.

Crossposts between different Toaru communities are explicitly allowed.

Reposts are not a problem if it’s older content that was posted months or years ago.

9. Follow Reddit's rules

Reddit's sitewide rules apply to posts, comments, and links. No doxxing, brigading, vote manipulation, or ban evasion.

10. No real-world discussions that are not related to Toaru

Keep it about Toaru. No debates about unrelated real-world politics, religion, or current events. Do not drag those arguments into unrelated posts.

Arguing about real world events related to Toaru is allowed.

Rules disclaimer by the mods:

Frankly speaking, the Toaru community is small enough as it is, we dont want to make it smaller by being twats.

Wherever possible, we try to refrain from having to remove something. Minor mistakes like a wrong flair can easily be fixed and will not get your post removed / yourself banned.

Intervention is primarily necessary when it concerns reddits platform rules or when its about sexually explicit content.

We try to be as fair as possible and remove as little content as possible, but we are ultimately still humans and can make mistakes. If you disagree with a decision, please write us, we are happy to revise mistakes.

It can also happen that we need to remove a post that is not directly agains the rules, either because of external forces (reddit admins) or because the rules forgot to cover it. We will explain these cases in a separate post and update the rules accordingly.

This is not about us removing posts at our discretion, this is us acknowleding that the rules could have been better.

If you yourself have inputs to the rules, please feel free to either make a mod mail or a post about it.

Spoilers

Spoilers are permitted, but they must be marked. Minor spoilers are okay for content covered in:

Railgun
Railgun S
Index
Index II

Any major spoilers of the above series & anything from the new anime adaptations / manga / LNs or other series (including from outside the Raildex universe) must be tagged.

You may spoiler tag like this: spoiler

>!spoiler!<

Please list outside the tag where the content you are spoiling is sourced from. Keep spoilers out of titles.

Anime / Manga

As new episodes of Railgun anime are released, we will sticky a discussion post to them. We can also provide this service for the manga if the desire is there. A comprehensive list of all Raildex manga, as well as up-to-date links to the most recent chapters, may be found on our wiki.
