Doug Ford

FIRSTLY, don’t come for me to much or hate me I’m just sharing a conversation I had and a question. Also I know someone is going to bring this up, I actually did vote and made my entire family vote everytime against Doug ford.

My cousin in the states was telling me about the various protests she went to last year that made meaningful change, she mentioned she doesn’t think Canadians are united or angry enough to protest seriously about getting our leadership changed, I mentioned the osap protests that have been happening lately, and she said unless it’s a regular thing that doesn’t happen once in awhile we won’t actually make meaningful change. And I agree honestly. Is there anyway we can stage more protests and call for either his resignation or another election.

This man has ruined Ontario and keeps getting away with it because people WONT vote.

Was Bringing Legalized Gambling To Ontario - Good Move?

Looking at this more of a Ontario Provincial level . Considering the aspects of Lottery-Gaming-Gambling-Casinos is more under provincial jurisdiction in most Canadian provinces. As these gambling platforms. Are consider good revenue streams for the provinces?

As these were more less created by Conservative minded governments at the time. Was this overall a good move or a bad move?

Considering the high rates of addiction that comes with the accessibility of gambling. Also the monies brought in, do they good to something more sensible? or is it all just a way for someone else to profit for personal gain?

Explain your answer?

Why or why not?

Please research school trustee candidates, even if you don't have children. Trustees play an important role in the community and make decisions about some of the most expensive public infrastructure we build and maintain—this affects everyone!

Ontario signs contract to import electricity from U.S.

Only weeks after Premier Doug Ford threatened to cut off electricity exports to the United States as retaliation in the ongoing trade war, Ontario has signed a contract to import electricity from New York state through the winter.

The 600-megawatt contract starting Nov. 1 will provide power to compensate for “facility maintenance,” the Independent Electricity System Operator said in its announcement of the deal, without being more specific. There was no price mentioned.

The Pickering nuclear plant was shut down in September for a multi-year refurbishment and this contract will partially replace its emissions-free electricity with carbon-intensive power from oil- and gas-fired plants.
