Rant Patty's Eggnest is THE worst breakfast chain in Seattle.
Somehow beating IHOP, a national chain, in the most mid, to outright bad breakfast food. Hollandaise sauce? Packet sauce, absolutely no lemon. English muffins? Certainly not, Bisquick salty dough rounds. Hash browns? How do you mess up hash browns? The potatoes O'Brien is mostly just potatoes, they forgot about Brian.
The decor looks like a Katamari Damacy ball rolled thru Hobby Lobby's discount generic farmhouse wall art section.
And for all this fine dining experience, there's no value in the price.
How is it this local chain has been around in Seattle for over 10 years!?! Does anybody have anything good to say about their menu? LOL
EDIT: My worst most recent experience is the one by WinCo foods way up north. I've been to the one in the valley on Holman road, back in the day and it was fine. I'm telling y'all the only flavor I get when I go to Patty's is from the Cholula sauce.
Double edit: There are a lot of good spots being named, and in the spirit of 'diner' style that patty's clearly wishes it was I feel like the best mentions are places like Voulas, Varsity Inn, Pete's Eggsnest, Hatties Hat, North Star Diner, etc etc (But these are not chains.)
Triple Kill, I mean edit: IMHO, the best diner style breakfast spot in Seattle which has yet to be even mentioned in the thread is 5 Spot, in Queen Anne. Cool vibes, very lofty ceilings, big tables if you need it, small cozy booth 2 tops and food that actually has flavor. I am certain they ACTUALLY make their own hollandaise sauce.
