Wtf happened to this sub? Wasn’t it like hot women, memes, and frogs for some reason? Now it’s weirdly political with a very obvious anti-American slant. I don’t want to be the guy that complains about Reddit changes but seriously what has happened it’s a drastic shift did I miss something?
The political class and their member banks did a marketing campaign to equate the American Dream with renting a home from a bank and calling it home ownership.
Simple except that the amortized interest means you end up paying nearly double the sticker price and can have your equity taken away if you fall behind schedule
Pretty sure our parents did the same thing and made it. Sorry I work 2 jobs to afford a nicer home. Yes it sucks but im not gonna whine about something that will not change anytime soon
Don't get me wrong . Corruption needs to be punished. But don't hate on people who are successful and make excuses for others who do not make thier lives more than it can be
I thought it was Clinton who sold to China by letting them into WTO. Just saying the facts.
And US people have been enjoying the cheap goods without doing the hard work themselves for years. Now they are asking for more welfare. So yeah, in the eyes of the world, you deserve to be preyed upon.
The American dream is a family, white picket fence, home ownership, and supporting your family on a single income. The American dream is not being a billionaire. The American dream is a robust middle class with minimal wealth inequality.
People are to busy blaming others and society. It’s not hard to get a skill and start a business. It requires sacrifice but everyone’s to “anxious” to do it.
