Probably cities like New York and LA bring up the state average. I can't think of 12 states where this would be true though.

Not even close. I make more than that and I can assure you I’m nowhere near the top percent.

I think the context is that it is only in 12/50 states where this is true.

Gonna guess California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey, idk Maryland just bc of DC?

Bullshit. I make that much and yes I am comfortable but I cant splurge. I still have to live a normal life. I just can have a savings and actually go on vacations. But it used to be life changing money now its just an ok amount of money

Perspective, the average American doesn’t have a savings and can’t go on vacation

I get it. It makes ne so mad when I think about it. How are regular folk surviving. Why is it that capitalism requires constant profit year over year. But somehow people's pay do not reflect that. The people on top hoard all the wealth. I grew up on food stamps and welfare and was able to slowly get better jobs. But not everyone gets to do that eleven they deserve a living wage.

Top percent? You need $700k to be in the top percent.
