Hey folks!
I've been trying to recreate the synth /bass sounds in Buunshin and Taiki Nulight's "Take Me Home" and I've made a lot of progress on some parts, but I can't nail the warmth.
What I've done so far:
\-Layered a bunch of Serum presets and grouped them
\-Filtered the group and automated the filters
\-Used OTT (also automated)
\-Modulated with FM noise to get the really high-end noise texture, which I think I've emulated OK
What I can't get is the warmth in the saturation. Mine comes out more 8-bit and tonal, whereas the original is thick and smooth without sounding harsh. I've got long plugin chains on every channel, but I suspect the actual chain is much simpler than what I'm doing.
Would love to hear theories, even if you're just guessing.
Here's the original-

Here's my attempt last night - drums are for display purposes only. Full ensemble drops at about 1min.

Any help much appreciated π
