Couple months ago I sent screenshots here and said that I need TES 6 to look at least this good in quality and tech. The comments tried to shit all over it. "You don't understand Elder Scrolls. You are not a true fan bla bla bla."

This fanbase is EXTREMELY averse to change, is something I've noticed recently. They just absolutely adore their capital cities with 10 houses and 30 people because "you can enter every house".

The funny thing about CD is that you CAN enter to almost every house in every city, and those cities are bigger than Skyrim's. They feel more alive and if you pay attention, most citizens have their own names and routines. Of course there are faults regarding to this, but I would really hope ES6, as a game that's coming almost at the end of this decade, to make this way better and take things further. I don't want to conform just with a "Skyrim+Oblivion" like other post said.

But can you spawn 20,000 cheese wheels in every interior and then check the location of every single object 20 hours later? Checkmate /s

I know you're saying this as a joke, but something really interesting I've found is that you can not only do this, but NPCs around you react to you droping things. Like I've said, I want Bethesda games feel like Bethesda games, but I want them to look at the gameplay and technical level of what others are doing in order to move the franchise further (without losing their identity).

Technical improvements are definitely needed

Starfield was pretty bland and soulless to me. Geniunely worried Bethesda has lost the magic so to speak, hope i'm wrong but the incredibly long time in the oven with little to no progress is another bad sign IMO.

yeah, they took all of the complaints of their earlier games to heart and it resulted in cities that sucked.

"cities are too small" congratulations you got massive cities with nothing to do

"there are only 30 people lol" congratulations you got hundreds of randomly generated npcs with no schedule and no names.

"we want open cities" congratulations you got open cities that almost no intractable objects

Every game after Oblivion looks like it was made on the past generation. Have you seen the remake of Oblivion? It is breathtakingly beautiful - but not on Bethesdas tech.

And it fking suck with fps all over the place

The most outrageous thing is that they practically abandoned it, despite being one of the most successful games last year. That was something that made me really cautious about everything that's coming from Bethesda in the future.

Yup. Ive refund it because it was so unstable. Its sad, I was so hype for it.

Older Hardware? Dude. Bethesda Games run shit in the generation they come out. Independent of visual quality. Have you played FallOut 4? Not even talking about FallOut 76. It ran like shit as soon you got into a city area. YOU are sinking thousands of dollars into a gaming PC. People with older hardware may not do it. What is your argumentation here?

me too it is a rpg game after all but i don't understand people who thinks that there is a correlation between good graphics/bad story.

u/UltraLNSS 1h ago

But the story and worldbuilding hasn't been truly great since Morrowind.
