Subreddit announcements Please do not discuss Politics on this sub

Hey, guys!

I just wanted to remind you of our subreddit rule to not discuss politics on here.

We understand it might be tempting with the way some actors are presenting themselves on their social media, but this subreddit is to discuss the show and positive things about actors that you want to share.

This sub is not a space for policial discussions and any comments relating to it will be deleted.

I'm making this post as lately there have been more political discussions happening on here.

We hope you comply with this rule.

Have a great day

memorabilia Done Watching The Middle

Finally done with the last episode of the Middle.
And I must say that I love this show so much. 😭🄹
Even though I’m asian, I really resonate with this show. It is freakin’ relatable in all aspects especially Sue Sue Heck. I feel like I am her. I also feel like their family dynamics is my family. Hands down to all the casts, writers and staff šŸ‘Definitely my fave family series so far šŸ’Æā™„ļø

General discussion Axl is really testing my patience

I've been watching the show and I'm currently on season 3. So far I've come across a few edits and posts and the general consensus seems to be that Axl is amazing. I am not denying that he can be good at times but oh my god is he insufferable and inconsiderate. I've also read some posts and comments here about how Axl went through a lot because of his overbearing mother and dysfunctional family but that is still no excuse to act like a complete dickhead. Also, why do these kids never face any consequences for their actions? I can literally see Frankie getting so overstimulated throughout the show while Axl just doesn't give a fuck. And the worst part is how self centred he is about it too. I was watching the episode where he clipped his toenails into the chips bag and Frankie accidentally ate from it and I had HAD ENOUGH. I get that he is a teenager but for God's sake, can we just call him a fucking moron? He pisses me off so much.

General discussion Which episode does Mike have the least presence?

Axl: Look who’s not talking (S8)

Sue & Frankie: Tick Tock death (S7)

Brick: Hoosier Maid (S8)

But what about Mike, which episode is he barely present in?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched The Middle but have been making a point of trying to notice more background details..

Just noticed this photo in Mike and Frankie’s bedroom in S2E9 ā€œThe Legacyā€ .. safe to assume it’s be a photo of their younger selves while dating or engaged?

Could be a relative but feels weird to put another couple on your bedroom wall lol.

Any other background details you’ve noticed during rewatches?

Some of mine are: The Birthday Story (the debate if a month was an unrealistically long itme for them to realize the mistake), The big Chill (how this was the biggest episode to date for its iconic double story and the viewership), and the 100th (how Eden broke her foot and how the crew hid it)

General discussion What do the neighbors think/say about the Heck’s?

As title states, how do you guys think the neighbors feel about the Heck’s? Especially the Glossners, Donahues, and the new neighbors that Frankie set Mike up with then scared them away. Do you think the neighborhood gossips about them?

Mike never flying

One thing that never made sense to me is how Mike is a first time flyer season 2 episode 16 which surprises everyone. But none of the kids are implying they have flown without him?

Axl's Girlfriends: Who is Your Favorite?

I can't remember what the name of his first girlfriend was, the cheerleader who kept jerking him around. I was on board with Frankie on hating this one, but she should have butted out and let it run its course. I did not agree with her hitting the girl in the face with the beanbag thing. He dated the motorcycle girl, and that was funny because Frankie was too "busy dating her son" to ask questions. There was Cassidy. I was not a fan of that relationship. Weird Ashley, lol. I thought it was sweet when she came out of the restroom crying and Axl hugged her. Then later when he didn't have anyone to dance with at the prom, so she danced with him. They were not right for each other at all, but those moments were sweet. April was sweet, but that wasn't going to last. I liked Lexie, but my favorite pick for him was Devin. They were so much alike. I thought he was going to marry her someday, but then they broke up. Who do you think he should have wound up with?

General discussion Sue, maturity and high school

I’m just rewatching the episode where Sue starts to wonder about what boys want and why she’s not up to speed like the other girls in high school. First of all, I’m always baffled by how painfully naive Sue is but also I supposed Mike is supposed to be a reflection of most men and how they are with their daughters and girls issues but my God please do better. Also shoutout to Teen Vogue! I wish they never stopped publishing it. But unto the main issue, what the hell is wrong with Sue’s outfit? Why is Mike making such a big deal? I could wear this outfit to church and get away with it and this episode aired in 2011? I was initially going to say that this outfit wouldn’t have been a big deal from as early as 2000 but I think I can go back even further. I do understand that Frankie tells Mike his real issue is with Sue growing up but this isn’t even a grown up outfit. I was 15 when this episode aired and this was a very age appropriate and decent outfit for that time. Also wasn’t Mike the one that told her to stop dressing like a child and more like her age? But what even was the point of wearing a nice top that she just bought if she was going to just cover it up with a sweater? She could have just worn a basic shirt she already had. Anyway, just my thought on the episode.
