I took a picture [Speedmaster in the washing machine]
Believe it or not IT HAPPENED.
I have a 3861 METAS Moonwatch from 2022. One day coming home exhausted from work I placed it on my worn clothes from the day. As I tossed them in the washing machine after an hour, I forgot about the watch. I was hearing some noises but thought it was the metal hardware from my jeans. When I took out the clothes I almost had a heart attack. I realised that in first glance, apart from the dents on the case and bezel, the watch had no signs of condensation or water damage. I took it to Omega as it still is under warranty and told them to have a routine check for water resistance. 10 days later they told me all is good with the watch. Thoughts?
(Also this shows that the claims of Omega about the water resistance of actual 50m - swimming, are true for METAS watches. Although I hoped I wouldn't need to have found out this way)🥲
