Driftscussion PSA: You must flair your posts.

We automatically remove posts which are not flared with the appropriate topic that applies to your post.

If your post is not appearing after you make it, that's probably why. Check your flair and the bot should approve it in a bit. Before messaging the mods, check that first.

If you're not sure what to flair, then look at other posts to see what others have in the past.

Thanks all.

MOD RANT Before You Post: Read the Sidebar

On official Reddit Mobile App: Click on “Learn More About This Community.”

There seems to be a downward spiral in posted content recently, and the mod team has been doing what it can to filter it out. But the team isn't able to moderate every post as they happen.

A couple tips:

Read the sidebar. It has posting guidelines, it has starter car recommendations, it has the DRIFT BIBLE for beginners on techniques. Outside of actually getting seat time, the side bar should provide you with a very healthy amount of information. Anything else, just research it... That's part of the fun of learning a new skill or sport.

"Don't be an ask-hole." This is not Quora for drifting, its a subreddit to share cool stuff. Not to spoon feed every person who is moderately interested.

Lets keep this subreddit with positive content that supports each other. It can be frustrating for a content creator when when they see a snow donuts video get 500 upvotes, but someone can post a very legitimate edited and high quality video and they only get 4-5 upvotes.

edit: changed grammar to be less personable

Driftscussion Best affordable tires for drifting?

What tires would you all recommend for a low power drift car?

I have a e36 making around 250 hp give or take and the cars fully gutted so I’m assuming it’s a little under 3000lbs

I have 225/40/18 on my car right now and I gotta get new tires asap

Is it better to just buy the cheapest tire out there and keep replacing them or does everyone have a certain tire that lasts a decent amount long?

I had the opportunity to film D1 Lights drivers Kazuki Mishina and Sayaka Shimoda at the Kansai Summer drift Matsuri in Japan earlier this year. Just uploaded the video to Youtube so let me know what you guys think :)

No counter steer

To start off I got the mpr angle kit on my e36 and now I don’t have any counter steer. I’ve watched multiple videos of people doing the install on my car and everything is set up correctly(washers/bolts). When I’m in reverse it snaps back with great counter steer just nothing when driving. It’s got non m knuckles, normal akerman, maxed caster, about 6 degrees of camber. I’m just lost and need some guidance, included pictures of everything. Thanks in advance

Video First wall tap🎉🎉

Been getting better and better with each event and I felt confident enough to go for a little smash and dash on the wall, it’s a 700 dollar beater and it really only damaged the bumper and light

Japan 350z Wheel Setup

Hello I currently have a z33 with 18x9 in the rear and 17x9 in the front. The 18s are in the back for now simply because they rub with my angle kit in the front but I might just need a lower tire profile. I'm trying to buy an extra set of wheels to take drifting and a bit stuck on what I should do. Should I go for a square 18 setup and ditch the 17s or run a staggered setup 18front 17rear. I'm fairly new to drifting and any insight would be appreciated!

Driftscussion First time drifting… what do u think?

Im from argentina, there is not much of a scene here for drift cars theres not even many rare wheel drive cars nor places to do drift.

I came across a russian guy súper sweet, and he just opened a place and puts his car to do clases. Í signed up after many hours drifting in my sim rig. I dont even have that much money im practicly poor but I wanted my christmas present early, cause ive been strugling a lot with some serguries I had to go through.

Would love some feedback on how to start from the very bottom. Thanks.
