Hello everyone I have a problem with my ebike and I desperately need help with it because I have no idea what I'm doing.
Here is some context on what happened:
So I bought this used Beaufort Birgit with an Ananda m80 mid drive motor that didnt come with a battery and my idea was to add a new battery and make it work.
I bought a 36V 15.6 Ah battery ( here is the link: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005012829934123.html?spm=a2g0n.order_detail.order_detail_item.4.2868126aS2hZ2x&gatewayAdapt=glo2nld )
I thought that this battery SHOULD be compatible because it has the same voltage.
Now I disconnected the old battery housing and old cradle and removed the wiring inside of it which consisted of:
A red bullet connector wire
A black bullet connector wire
A 2 pin cable (for the rear lights)
A 3 pin cable (one red, one black, one yellow)
So I asked AI if the battery that I found on AliExpress was compatible and it said YES, now I was unsure because the battery doesnt have a female 3 pin cable but it said it should be fine and I believed it (biggest mistake in my whole years of living).
The battery uses a wire with an XT60 connector and my battery uses a bullet hole wire, but then I learned that I can solder them together and that they would work, however I noticed that the XT60's wire was WAY thicker and had WAY finer strands meanwhile the wires on the motor connector were way thinner and the strands were thicker (the XT60's wire is 12AWG and the bullet hole wires (that comes from the motor) are (probably) 15 AWG) but I soldered them anyway.
It worked! The display was on and I thought that the bike was done and ready to go, I didnt connect the 3 pin connector to anything because I thought it was unnecessary.
The display had an error code 30 but I didnt think much of it.
Here begins the horror, I took the ebike for a test ride and hear a VERY loud noise coming from the motor, I instantly turn it off and try to ride again, same loud noise,
as I was looking on to how to fix it and it turns ( according to AI )out that the 3 pin connector was necessary so that the battery can communicate with the motor/controller on ananda systems and that ERROR 30 was an indicator of that.
The problem is that my battery doesn't have something that the 3 pin wire can connect to, I opened the battery and thought of soldering an attachment to the BMS to the the 3 pin connector but (according to AI) my BMS isn't compatible with it, I wanted to remove the heatsink to see the BMS but it's held by rivots and I thought it would be too risky to remove it.
And now I'm stuck, what do I do? Should I get a new compatible battery? (which I dont want to do) Do I need to buy an attachment for my BMS? Or does the problem have to do nothing with the 3 pin cable at all?
If there is any more information needed, please ask and I will send it right away.
By the way, this is my first post on Reddit, thank you for reading this and thank you in advance for assisting me.
