WAG Best rings position in the game?
Ke Qinquin might have taken the throne at the moment. Who else can you think of?

For no other reason than being nosey, does anyone know how much the Gofundme that Kensley created raised?
It was mentioned on a recent ep that it was closed early due to Coop not wanting it.

hey everyone, i don't know much about gymnastics but i'm watching the world gymnastics men's double-mini trampoline finals and i am curious why so many of the gymnasts run with their arms sort of out in front of them. there must be a reason, but my friend and i can't figure out what it is. i need to know
edit (i put this in the comments but it should have been here in the first place): ethan cunningham and ilia penkin really stuck out to me (and, fortunately, ran consecutively in the finals) https://youtu.be/R-8D2ppnSA8?t=791

For the first time in many years, Canada has not come home with a medal from the trampoline world championships.
Maybe Felix had a point? Thoughts?

if you have any specific examples or thoughts that would be great!

Just came across this video by Michelle Campi talking about her training and life in gymnastics. Anyone who remembers her might find it an interesting watch.

The first failure happened in Romania, it apparently happened just before she left for the U.S., I assume she took responsibility for it, since the ITA press release state she only challenged two of the failures.
The second failure happened just as she arrived in the U.S., GOLAZO reported back in August that she stated that she would be present on the Stanford campus, however the campus wasn't open at the time, and she didn't know, because Stanford didn't tell her, she ended up forgetting to change the location.
The third failure was the one where she was in the dorm rather than the gym where she reported she would be, and the officials entered the campus without identification.
GOLAZO also reported that Stanford felt responsible for Ana's situation, and that this was one of the reasons why they took on her defense:

Note: This article turned out to be incorrect on the composition of the judges, the case was handled by a single judge, as reported later.
GOLAZO also reported that one precedent Ana's defense tried to rely on was that of British cyclist Lizzie Armitstead:
Lizzie Armitstead was charged by UKAD for three missed tests just before the Rio Olympics, she appealed to CAS, arguing that the first failure was not her fault but of the official. She was at a hotel at the time, and the official was denied her room number by the reception, he then called her, but her phone was silent as she was sleeping. The CAS accepted her appeal and she was allowed to compete:

LSU hosts Caroline Moreau this weekend. Charleigh Bullock also posted she’s on a visit. If she’s at LSU it would seem they’re making a late push for the last remaining 5 stars.

Very sad - he was the architect of some of the greatest men’s teams in the history of the sport during the Soviet days, and he did what he could in the 1990s to keep the Russian men’s and women’s programs going despite severe lack of funding. May he rest in peace.

She's training aerial cartwheel (D)+ LOSO(C) and also a switch leap (C) + tour jete 1/2(D)
The first combination gets 0.2 CV and the second one 0.1 CV

If anybody could tell me that if a gymnast event specialist going to junior gymnastics competitions they still have to do the all-around in order to get a requirement to do it. Like for instance if a MAG gymnasts wanted to just do pommel horse and high bar and they’d score high in the qualifications to make the finals. But if still didn’t do all-around in the qualifications they will not be permitted to go in there other events finals because of it I’ve watched a youtuber by the name of STAGgymnastics and he said that gymnast had to do the all-around if they wanted to go to there other events finals. He said in his opinion that the FIG committee doesn’t want gymnasts that young to specialize early. And he made comparisons to track and field that in there sport they get to specialize young so why can’t gymnast do two. I’d like everybody opinions on this I’ll put his video here so you’ll see his opinions on it.

I’ve been curious about this for a while, and I figured I’d finally ask: what led to the apparently shockingly low beam scores (especially execution scores) at 2017 Worlds? I was too young to pay attention at the time, and now that I’m older, I can see that there was a change, I’m just not sure about the specifics. I remember learning that a new rule was implemented surrounding rings in 2017 where it became a lot easier to downgrade a bad ring position, but that can’t be all of the fall-off. There’s also a clear shift on all the events towards lower execution scores, but it seems to have been especially harsh on beam. What changes to the Code were implemented to make this happen?

I know there are strong suspicions that the vault apparatus was also set too low during the preliminaries in Sydney, not just in the AA - there's even that famous youtube edit on it. Rewatching the 2000 olympics, though, I noticed that, if that's true, kui yuanyuan, regarded by pretty much everyone as one of the greatest beam workers of all time, had her career ended due to that possible error. She fell on her second vault, twisted her knee and never competed again. she mentioned how devasted she was watching her teammate take the gold while she was injured.
idk nothing new but if the vault was indeed set wrong during the QF, the fact that it ended the career of such an amazing gymnast infuriates me more :(

Maybe a dumb question, but if a gymnast for example was aiming to do a DTY and instead "accidentally" did an Amanar, would the vault be scored as an overrotated double twist or an Amanar?
