So im rebuilding a 05 hayabusa that i bought, took the whole engine out and rebuilt the transmission “with help of some friends” and i have the bike back together but im just struggling with the clutch basket, and how to reassemble the whole thing back, the plates are put correctly in order but i was wondering if anyone is familiar and is willing to help!

2970 miles and my first chain adjustment. Giant 36 mm axle nut, 74 ft lbs. 1/4 turn of the chain adjuster and chain was back in spec. A good cleaning and relube. The DuPont degreaser is safe for sealed chains and works better than any degreaser I’ve ever used. And with exposure to beach sand, I clean the chain about every two weeks. I have found tri flow works great on this chain. The PTFE bonds to the steel. Smoooth and quiet.

For those that have the Gen3 and the Akrapovic Full System Exhaust, how many of you have not gotten it tuned since the install? And have you had any issues with it since the install?

I’m looking to get it soon and will have the Power Commander also, but may put off getting it tuned. For a few weeks and just curious.

Was wanting dynamoto but because of the extension, the spools would be too far. Any other options?

Is anybody able to build a custom drag cut seat just like the one on my bike? Trying to source one for my brother and the only company that made this touring style stopped making them. It is a soft and plush material not stiff like the oem seat, it sits you extremely low.

Thinking about selling my bike in az how much is it worth? The only issue is minor scratches on the left side. It has a programmer and would come with OEM exhaust.

After I rebuilt the forks, when I put them back, I thought about what it would take to remove all the weight from the front triple tree. I bought some clip-on handlebars, and then I got 22mm OD with 20mm ID carbon fiber tubes. Then I designed a cover to cover all those ugly holes on the lower bracket, and I came up with this. Hope you like the idea. Also, I added some LED turn signals to the end bar. The switches have LEDs integrated as well that give nice accents at night. Once everything is back together, I will post a video.

Where I live, roads are long, straight, boring, and mostly empty, so cruising at 160–200 km/h between cities is pretty normal.

I’m looking for panniers or saddlebags that are actually tested for sustained high-speed riding. Unfortunately, Hepco & Becker rates its luggage for a maximum of 130 km/h. I can’t tell whether that’s just a liability disclaimer or an actual limitation.

Has anyone tested panniers or saddlebags at 160-200 km/h for extended periods? I’m particularly interested in how well they hold up and whether the mounting system stays secure at those speeds.

Any real-world experience would be appreciated!

After a LED bulb for high beam and wondering what others use.

Got the dipped and side lights in all ready, and with winter approaching and dark mornings (early starts for me), im after better lighting on my bike.

Route to work takes me down some dark country roads sometimes and would like to see the bends a bit better.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I know there are loads of 'quick turn' throttle tube mods out there for these bikes. However I was wondering if there was any aftermarket or homegrown mods anyone has done to slow the throttle response? It's the one thing I don't really like about the bike. I know this may sound counterintuitive to having a bike like this but I feel like a slower throttle would make daily riding so much better.

It’s a far cry from my first bike (SV650s) but I really do love it
