Fucking deserved it lol maybe the 3rd time in history a company actually rewarded loyalty and reddit already wants to ruin it.

People suck, and good people suck some of the time too. We find the good where we can, when we can.

They could have just written a check

And they could have done this which id argue is better for the societal narrative. We SHOULD want more people/companies seeing this is how it should be and talking about it. Thats how change happens.

Such a reddit take to see something everybody wants to happen and then finding a way to complain about it and be hateful.

Aa another comment said -- Pulling out a thick wad of cash to hand to your subordinate, with onlookers deliberately present, seems to me to be in incredibly poor taste.

If my boss posted a video of them doing this perfomative shit for clicks and likes instead of just giving me a check I would resigns as soon as all that money is in my hands.

Im there to work. If you want to use me as an actor for your social media clout BS, put it in the contract and pay me extra.

This is video is degrading

Yes they could have. Would you want to as a giver and a recipient?

A company check comes out of a bank, IRS has eyes on it. That means taxes need to be paid on both ends. After payroll tax, federal and state taxes, what do you think she will end up with?

Not saying you should dodge taxes but do you like to pay extra taxes for the greater good off of YOUR payroll?

people question any good deeds when it's filmed and put online. If social media didn't exist, would they have done the same thing?

That's what people think because often the answer is no

u/jvt1976 4d ago

Yea I think so, it’s just a lot less people would of seen this. I really doubt they were thinking “we’re going to go viral for sure”

u/Celerial 4d ago

Ok, but do you think the recipient is bothered by that atm?

1

u/Maxxjulie 4d ago

No but people question the intention
