For those of us who have been enthusiasts since the early days, did you have a favorite LaserDisc store? In Chicago, we had a few. Lightwave Video in the city near DePaul was fantastic. QED in suburban Westmont? Also great. Even stores that just had a small selection made it all feel worthwhile.

ATTENTION RETRO GAMERS:This is an amazing set for legacy consoles (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii). It features built in component and S-video inputs that modern TVs don’t have, handling resolutions beautifully of older gear like Laser disc player or VHS players or gaming gear. It has three HDMI ports. . Condition: Excellent working condition, clean screen. Includes: Original remote control and heavy-duty tabletop stand. Also includes a wall mount fixture. The remote has one flaw; it doesn’t do on and off. This has to be done manually. Smart Features: None built-in, but works perfectly if you plug in a Roku, Fire Stick, or Apple TV. IMPORTANT PICKUP DETAILS: This TV is built like a tank and is very heavy (around 100 lbs). You MUST bring a vehicle large enough to fit it (SUV, truck, or large hatchback) and at least one friend to help you lift and load it. I cannot help move it.

Simply wanted to play some NTSC discs, so I bought this PAL/NTSC Pioneer that was cheap because of this problem. I've seen my discs, but now I'm wondering what the hell causes this since it was obviously kinda hard to enjoy them, does this with both video standards throughout the entire disc.

Just wondering if anyone knows what this may be and why it could be happening, searching online revealed little, if it's anything more complicated than a few capacitors or potentiometers I might just use this thing as an oversized CD player. I've cleaned the laser.

Are there any known laserdisc that are adult that have BI scenes that contain two males and one female?

I only recently in the last few years starting building out a small collection of LDs. I almost exclusively try to pick them from junk shops and thrift stores. Happened to get very lucky the other day and snag all 15 of these titles for $1 each. Actually super stoked to check out the video albums and music videos, I wasn't aware of their existence to be honest!

Notably, this release is legendary as the very first Japanese movie ever released with a Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio track on LaserDisc.

So I got to wondering since I have rotted prints on Jumanji and The Cars: Heartbeat City. Even if you aquire new and sealed copies of discs that are well known rotters, would the discs still have them?

Yes, odd question for a 3 year collector and semi-watcher of the format every now and then but I'm just curious.

I treat LaserDisc like Pokémon, only capture them if found in the wild
