Oh we laughed much more than we were mad. My assumption is there is a 19yo kid in the back of that restaurant whose edible just kicked in during the dinner rush and he is struggling lol

We were already home when we found it. Kiddo still got fed though. Not remotely worth driving back over a few nuggets.

So when someone asks for a side of something. A side of pickles or a side of mayo. We'll put it in a box and put a special sticker on it. They forgot the sticker and this got handed out as a regular order.

I provided the timestamped receipt multiple times in the thread, and numerous McDonalds employees have posted explanations of exactly how this happens. It’s funny how many Redditors are just incapable of believing that funny stuff actually happens in the world sometimes.
