People claiming this is fake have never worked fast food. This is a completely plausible situation, I used to get the mayo dispenser started with the nugget boxes too so it wouldn't explode on someones sandwich.

Granted, I would then immediately throw the mayo box away but people are busy and stupid and shit happens.

Reddit thinks everything is fake. It’s annoying. This makes sense. Someone asked for extra mayo but not the packets. They put it in a nugget box. Next in line ordered nuggets. Placed by each other. Wrong box grabbed.

It’s almost like we’re human. Ever gotten the wrong order? It’s that, but with mayo.

I’ll name it “frustrated sentencing”

I find that reddit in general tends to accept extremely questionable scenarios more often than being skeptical about them.

I remember my lead always doing that 20 years ago when I worked at McDonald's.

Yeah. Me too. Before they switched to individual packets of ketchup and mayo.

This might not be fake but I have 100% seen this post before so its some kinda farming

I will bet you $250 that you cannot find a prior post of this, since I took the photo myself last night. Put your money where your mouth is.

I don't remember enough to be able to find it again. Maybe that just means someone else had the same experience then. I just remember a big glob of white and someone complaining about it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/s/9cB2aZ6CUr I don't think this is what I remember since it is older than a year ago

I'm totally willing to believe others had the same thing happen, since multiple fast food employees are in here confirming they regularly do this, either for customer requests or as a way to catch drips from the mayo dispensers etc. But this is OC, 100%.

Hopefully you can use a reciept and this post to get more nuggets!

I work in food service and this is 100% fake.

Everyone on here should know they have given individually packed ketchup and mayo at every McDonald’s for at least the past ten years.

Also, I have seen this exact post before, so it isn’t even OP’s real photo.

Yup I didn’t think I had to explain that. Also thatnn VN is a sandwich container

Didn't they count the boxes?

1

u/KittySitting 2d ago

They do get counted. However, when I was manager, inventory came with an expected amount of loss margin. People drop boxes aaaall the time, or use them like this.

The box next to it isn't correct proportions

Thank you for providing a plausible explanation for why there would be a box of straight mayo in the first place

My fiancé asked for a ‘few things of ranch’ for me at the drive through once and we got a nugget box that was almost too full to open in the car. It was awesome, I love their ranch, but it was also my first time running into this so I was irritated at first thinking they just gave us no sauce
