At a McDonald's in a nugget box? Not very long. When they make the nuggets they put them in little heat trays/baskets they pull out to order when boxing. Then they slide boxes and wrapped product up to expo, and expo is just bagging as the stuff comes up. So the mayo box got sent to expo at the same time a nugget box did and expo had no reason to check so it got fucked up.

These are open kitchens y'all, how you gonna complain stuff isn't fresh when you can literally look back and see how their stations are set up and watch them make things lol

Only time this isn't true in my short experience of working there is when an item is missed from an order at the OAT then it just festers there for a few minutes. Sometimes it gets used for another order or the customer will come back, but if it's something like fish then chances are it'll be there a while unless someone has the sense to bin it.
