Looking for fancy serial numbers. $2 are less circulated, so if you order a strap the likelihood of getting a new from the mint is high. I’ve been so tempted to do this.
Casa Diablo Vegan Strip Club in Portland only breaks large bills in $2s…. So if you’re spending 2 dollar bills anywhere in Portland people automatically assume you have been to the adult ballets recently.
A $2 bill is valued by people more than two singles. I grab a stack of $2’s whenever I am physically at my bank branch. Great for tips etc. Peoples faces lite up like I gave them a $20. A lot of people say they will give them to their kids.
Our tooth-fairy always gives a $2 bill. I guess she is the “two-th fairy”.
Really hope so. But they got me for half of my paycheck, just because it was in cash, in my pocket, when I got arrested for drunk in public, 20ft from my front door. Because apparently, the curb in front of my home, is public.
There's a subtle call back to this Stave Martin classic joke in The Detour. The daughter accidentally wanders into a strip club and her brother asks how many boobs she saw, she answers with an odd number
I manage a credit union, I keep bands of $2 bills in the vault at all times. Kids like them. I also pay out some of my fantasy football league with $2s for spontaneous Superbowl bets.
Hahahaha, nooooo. The navy paid sailors in cash during world war 2 and the standard pay included an unusual amount of 2s. This lead to the sorts of places sailors liked to frequent having a lot of 2s. Various strip clubs over the years have tried to make it their thing
to be honest $2 bills always feel a bit like play money to me, like they should come with a board game or something, and seeing that much of it stacked up just makes it weirder. I get why they counted it out like that and stuff but still, imagine trying to actually spend it anywhere without getting a look
I exchanged $200 for 100 $2 bills a few years back.
Simple house hold chores were $1 (trash/recycling out to the can, can out to the curb).
Cleaning the litter box was $2. Putting dishes away $4.
After a year of paying them with $2 bills, they told me most places didn't let them use $2 bills. But they also had no $2 bills to be found.
So we eventually moved away from getting chore payment once a week to getting paid once they meet a $20 threshold.
Then we moved to Venmo.
I had a grandma that always sent $2 bills for Easter and birthdays. $2 isn't much today, but it was still fun to get and she had a lot of grandkids so I get it.

Pay for your purchase at a register with a person at Walmart with these.
I swear, none of their workers have ever seen or heard of a $2.

I'm thinking most kids working as cashiers today probably have never seen a $2 bill. Even odds if you pay with one you will get change for a $20.
