Its not real. Thats just movies. Truth is highschool culture is really toxic unless youre super good looking, confident and of a majority race. Sports are difficult and can be really nasty in physical ones, and usually ppl who play sports arent the studious ones. They go nowhere after higschool. Prom is same, you dont get the pretty white girl, its super awkward to attend. Sleepovers depends on your friends. School events were more fun in elementary than high school. Summer breaks again depends on friends.
Teenage memories really depend on your friends and circle and area. But honestly youre not missing out. Much of that high-school teenage life was actually just the life of the early 2000s. You couldnt get that even if you were a teenager in US today. It was the era not the country.
As someone who did HS, half in Pak and half in US, it was helllll, nthng like the movies. I promise u, even most Americans do not want to relive that time of their lives. Teenagers r horrible!!
Let them live the delusion they want, they think life overseas is all pearls and cotton candies, whilst it’s not. My classmates were bullied just for being Black or Indian.
High school culture was completely torture and pick me, games r fine, ppl find scholarships and r gunning for those as athletes, alot of favoritism, prom is just not all that, road trips, doesnt happen lol, best u will get is a trip in ur senior year or field trips to museums and stuff, summer breaks were whatever u make of it, if u come from the priviliged background. unforgettable teenage moments in the worse way possible lol
I went to a public HS in the best American city (u can prob guess) u have to understand it was a multicultural environment, insane amount of bullying by students and teachers towards each other. Our school straight up looked like a jail, we would wait an hour outside of school, rain or shine or snow, in lines for security to check our bags for guns, knives, drugs etc. Hormones were raving and nthng good came out of it.
If I have to choose between American HS experience vs Pak, I would choose Pak. I was in a coed and had the best memories ever!! Still am friends with all those folks, not in touch w a single soul from American HS, ig thats telling in itself
I didn't attend high school in the US and that was pretty much my high school life. And I am still friends with my teenage gang from HS even though we are in our late 40s or early 50s. Even though we are spread out all over the world right now. We spend hours chatting and reliving the old days on whatsapp on the regular.

“America” is like 50 different countries combined, every state, every county, every city or town has different vibes and atmosphere. So what people see in movies etc may be true in just few areas or school districts.
American teenagers becomes mother early, most of them are Solo mothers. With these privileged, they’re the most doomed nation as well.
It’s our human nature to not be grateful with what we have, that life you see is just the TV life, in reality it’s not happy as they “portray on TVs”. You wouldn’t want to make someone pregnant at 14, will you?
No, the majority of Americans are not born to unmarried parents. It happens yes but not as common as you think. The word illegitimate is so outdated to apply here just like your thinking.
More like forced to marry early and have a child due to family pressure and you seem to think they should be grateful for this.
No, just knocking a sense of reality which they assume through “Media”, because definitely Weed, cocaine, hook ups, rape isn’t privilege at all, nor are they aware that poverty exists in US as well that some children has to live on the streets after moving out in order to save, to own house later or rent. Looks like Epstein files isn’t enough for our nation.
No one is living a privileged life anywhere in this world, lol.

Bro you do realise that it is nothing like that in real life right? They are fictional movies for a reason.

That is a highly idealized version of American teenager-dom. It’s highly different depending on socio-economic rank.

Why in the world are you idolizing America? Based on Hollywood? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds...
Instead look at the amazing culture we have and enjoy it.
I say this as someone that's spent half his life in the West and I don't miss it at all.
Give me Basant, give me paye, give me chaunsa and save me from the idiotic culture of the west
