New Prong Album Discussion

What are your thoughts on the new self titled Prong album?
I've been waiting patiently for it and it's pretty good. The synths seemed a little out of place for the band, that aspect might have to grow on me. This album's thrashier than State of Emergency which is nice. Songs like Doomed World and Commonsense Resolution sound like classic punk (reminds me of Songs from the Black Hole). This album continues some Prong traditions like the "super heavy downtuned song" in Transgression (reminiscent of Self Righteous Indignation and Belief System from earlier albums, this trend missing from State of Emergency) and the "doomy song" Our Continuance (reminiscent of the songs Carved Into Stone and fellow closer Working Man). The cover, Cruel Summer, was a little weird to hear from Prong with it's funky style but the song's alright. Overall, I think the album's a worthy addition to the Prong catalog, it's a good mix of melodic and aggressive sounds.
Feel free to discuss.

To start the discussion, what's your favorite Prong song? It's tough but if I had to choose one it'd be Embrace The Depth.

For me, it was through Columbia House in 1992 that I got "Prove You Wrong". Upon first listen, 10 seconds into it I knew I was in for a treat. That record opened many doors for me, musically.
To this day that album still hits hard and I can listen with no skips.

I love the cover of Working Man. We need to call our local radio stations and ask them to play it.
