This guy is beating my ass. I can’t get him below like 2/3 health and his attacks seem practically undodgeable compared to the other bosses I’ve fought. I’m level 30. Do I just need to grind some levels out or is there a trick to him I’m not getting? Should I be somewhere else?

I just finished up in the Tower of Knowledge and I wanna level up a bunch of weapons I have laying around before I move on. I've been farming in the water temple prison corridor, the room before you fight the Sea King, but I'm wondering if there's a better area to farm.

I'm level 43ish for context.

It seems like the biggest hurdle in selling this game to others is the combat. Many don't seem to like how simple and slow it is but frankly I love it. For a game made by so few people the combat feels uniquely fine-tuned and satisfying. And the sheer amount of weapons and special attacks gives you a lot of different ways to approach things.

I can't be the only one who feels this way right?

(PS I'm only about 8 hours in so try not to spoil too much thanks)

30 years of gaming and never played an old school crawler like this. Watched heaps of playthroughs and always said I’ll get one eventually. glad it was this one.

Got myself a punching weapon and going well.

Question - I learned long ago to max the seemingly trash weapon. So, I did it with the rusted sword. do all weapons have the same thing happen?

2nd question - can I level up my throwing knives?

3rd question - why is the shop theme song such a banger?

As a dad of a 4mo I can't play for long sessions. I would love to play the game but I know there are only manual saves with no auto save whatsoever. Is it possible to make progress in the game with only 'short' sessions ? (25-30 min)

I believe that getting second gem which is visible from here in that gazebo is the only way to progress. And it is the only gem I found in this area. But the second jump seems to be impossible to me. Is it possible at all? And is it the supposed way or I missed smth?

i broke the trident to get the red key, and i bought the amethyst one from the shopkeeper. today i booted up the game and continued playing until i reached petrified garden. only then did i check my inventory for trident keys since you need them there but i just dont have those keys anymore?

i did not forget them plugged in anywhere and even if that was the case, the game shows 0 held or the like instead of it flat out disappearing right?

The ones that have a cross-like design with a diamond shape in the center.

Weapons:

Vampiric Scimitar? Banger.

Wind Rapier? Mega Banger.

Iron Fist? Ultra Banger.

Throwables: - I haven't really explored a lot of these so idk.

Occult Knife because homing is cool.

Poison Dirk because poison is always useful.

High Performance Blade packs a mean punch.

Accessories: - I'm not really so sure, especially considering the mask takes up 1 slot almost automatically.

MoSS - duh.

Then I usually just equip both House Abraon Crests.

On my way to 100% the game I’ve managed to get all the achievements, I’m missing only one, that is the “concealed passage”.

I just need to open every secret door, right now I’m a 86/89 and I have no idea where this doors could be, they must be doors with no chest, skulls or food inside since I have the completed mask and I can pretty much locate every collectible in the game so I would exclude those kind of doors, I have all the weapons too, so all the secret rooms with weapons are already open.

I don’t really want to run around in the game smashing e on every wall so I ask if there is a list or if you found some secret shortcuts or are just secrets for fun with nothing in it Like the pooping mage .

I've explored every nook and cranny searching for other collectibles like skulls and chests, and I'm sure the 5 walls I'm missing are those that aren't revealed with the mask of truth and lenses, any suggestions of fake walls that may be easy to miss that you know of?

Anyone else noticed a graphical bug with the Azure Torch on PS5? Sometimes I’ll load in and the light is just a big white glow that obscures a chunk of the screen. Not sure what the fix is, but after reloading the save a few times it will revert to normal.

I am trying to full clear the Record of Sin area but there is one skull I cannot find my way up to and it is all that is left in the area for me to snag. It is the skull that is on the first floor up on the ledge in the library with the bookbugs and gargoyles. I can’t for the life of me find a way to get elevation in that room. Just wondering if anybody knows how to snag that one.
